PoR Apple II version
I was playing a little bit of PoR Apple II version. (Really I was trying to get Curse of the Azure Bonds working on the Apple II emulator, but I have been unsuccessful at it. It really comes down to the part where you try to save your newly made character. It asks for a disk and I try to put the required disk through but it doesn't take it. I ended up trying all of the other disks but still nothing. It ends up freezing up on me. i don't Know. Maybe I'll try installing the new versin of AppleWin. Maybe you're wondering why I'm bothering with playing Curse on an apple emulator? Yeah I know the combat screens are practically blinding to look at for more than a few minuites. But...It's because Curse was the first SSI AD+D computer game that I owned + I spent numerous hours playing it and defeating the game. It was on an Apple IIe. So I'd love to get it to play but so far no luck. Where's that curses! thief when I need him!!??
In the meantime here's a pic of some PoR on the apple IIe emulator....
Actually concerning this pic...anyone attack the guards that are defending the central headquarters or whatever you'd call the place where you get your missions at the center of the civilized area? I attacked once while my team was high level (or at least high level for the PoR game anyways) there was a good item to pick up afterwards but the shops would refuse to sell to you since you've become a traitor to the city. I guess it's something to do once youv'e beaten the game and have nothing left to do. Can't remember whether you could access anywere else besides being kicked out of the shop....Any reflections on this??
