POR2 - have you tried?
There's a Pool of Radiance 2 a more recent sequel to the original POR. It's got mediocre scores in different reviews. I will try it later. Have you played it?

Yes, I picked it up when it first came out. I was let's say highly dissapointed. Though while it is turn based, it's a bit in the style of Balder's Gate except the character icons are a bit larger. It ran somewhat slow in my computer. Basically the thing that I disliked about it most is that it was very boring. Moving from place to place took forever and the battles were monotonous after a while. I never got too far with it cause it really wasn't much fun playing it. Best to stick with the originals.
