Marco "Moonlighting" Mendoza
I see Marco plays on Dolores O'Riordan (ex-Cranberries) solo album and is due to tour with her band through June.
These dates clash with Thin Lizzy appearances, notably at Sweden Rock. Unless he has miraculously cloned himself this means Lizzy will feature a different bassist on their summer festival dates. Anyone have an idea who?

Re: Marco "Moonlighting" Mendoza
I thought his clone (albeit 20 years younger) was already playing in Whitesnake, Simon!

Re: Marco "Moonlighting" Mendoza
ANyone buy Marco's solo album yet? What's it like? Wonder why JS does not play on it?

Re: Marco "Moonlighting" Mendoza
I have 'Live for Tomorrow' and it's pretty good!
Richie Kotzen really rocks- he sounds very like JS and Doug rolled into one. Some great guitarists put in an appearance; my favourite tracks feature Steve Lukather and the lovely Doug! It's worth getting just for the guitars.
Some of the songs are great, whilst others leave me cold. The opening track is poor but Marco's got a great vocal range. Unfortunately, it lapses into a strange kinda Anastasia mode in the higher ranges, especially on the ballads so it sort of ruins the sentiment!
Lauren's only listened to it once. Her verdict is it's well produced and she loves Richie Kotzen's guitar but she would only re-play the two heaviest tracks!
I'll bring it along next time I see you, Simon, and you can borrow it. Hope that will be sometime next week but it'll definitely be soon!
