and found out that all the shows in US has been officially cancelled.
According to the web master, John is truly
sorry for this matter.
If he is really sorry, please tour in US!!

JS needs to explain what is going on to his fans. It isn't too much trouble for other "rock stars" to speak with their supporters.
What about this official "Sykes MySpace" page (which has stolen Lauren's JS logo) - couldn't he make an announcement on there?!

Exactly Simon! That is, if it is indeed an 'official'site- it seems anyone can post any old crap on My Space! Whoever runs it hasn't had the decency to even respond to Lauren's request to remove the logo. :rolleye:
Don't tell me you are really waiting for JS to justify anything he does! :shake:

There is no official John Sykes MySpace site. We have no idea who set any of those pages up. Even after repeated attempts, they have not contacted us.
As for the US shows, Lizzy originally thought they were going to do the whole North American tour with Deep Purple. It turns out Lizzy was only going to do 4 or 5 shows. It would have cost them a fortune to do just those shows as bands need to play more than that to pay the crew and transportation and hotels.

OK, well that's useful to know - thank you. Why not post that on the official site?
Re. Myspace - unfortunately, someone is writing to people from that MySpace page pretending to be John. They are convinced it is him.
They obviously like playing games: nicking Lauren's logo and passing it off as John's copyright is irritating - and lame.

That's just as I thought. At least it's not just Lauren that they wont reply to!
Thanks for the explanation as to why Lizzy have cancelled.
However,wouldn't it have made more sense to actually confirm dates before they told fans they were playing all of the dates?Sure I understand that it isn't financially feasible to play only a handful of gigs but I feel most sorry for the fans who were going along to the Deep Purple gigs especially to see Lizzy and are now out of pocket.The tickets don't come cheap!
I know that unexpected problems happen occasionally but it is becoming ridiculous how many times Lizzy have let fans down in recent years. If it wasn't so disappointing it would be a joke.

I can guarantee with 100% certainty that John is not sending messages to anyone from a myspace page. You can feel free to warn whoever is getting these message it is NOT from John. Whoever is doing this needs to stop (I suspect they probably read this board if they are that obsessed to pretend to be somebody else).

I just went and looked at a few John Sykes myspace pages--one in particular. I feel bad for the people that think John is adding them to his "friends" when that is not the case.
Is there anything that can be done about this kind of thing?
