According to his official website, Marco Mendoza will be appearing at the NAMM music products industry convention, which takes place in Anaheim, California, on Friday 20 January.

Derek Sherinian has begun work on a new solo CD (his 5th). The keyboardist, who toured with Blue Murder in Japan in 2004, and who has been a member of Billy Idol's band for a number of years, released his last CD, Mythology, in 2004. There's a new special joint edition of Classic Rock/Metal Hammer dedicated to rock/hard rock and heavy metal of the 1970s. It's available exclusively in WH Smith shops and contains loads of great stuff, including mini-reviews of all Lizzy's albums from the 1970s.
