Great show! A real treat to hear some tunes the guys have not played live before / for some time, and the band sounded tight and punchy with Tommy Aldridge on drums.

Thanks guys, for playing a full set this time round and what a way to end the evening - Cold Sweat followed by Black Rose!

Setlist (not 100% correct order):

Jailbreak
Waiting For An Alibi
Don't Believe A Word
Emerald
Dancin' In The Moonlight
Still In Love With You
Warriors
Are You Ready
Southbound
Massacre
Sha La La
Suicide
Cowboy Song
The Boys Are Back in Town
Rosalie
Cold Sweat
Black Rose

I'll be posting some cool photos on my website pretty soon.

I don't want to sound like a muppet here, but whoever that reviewer was needs to **** off and chill out a bit. "Promised in countles mags?" i didn't see it that way. From what i understood somebody put the idea to John and they said they'd try and get all the songs together to be able to do it. It was still a great set, and a damn sight longer than the last two times they'ver been to Newcastle right? And southband was awesome!!! Anyway, rant over, sorry guys!!!

It's a question of taste. That reviewer is clearly no fan of Sykes's guitar-playing. He is the same reviewer who gives the new Tygers of Pan Tang EP a glowing 8 out of 10 (despite its lacklustre new versions of Hellbound and Take It), so perhaps it needed someone more favourable to JS to review the Lizzy gig.

All I can say is, judging by the cheers and crowd reaction, people with his views must be a small minority.
