Rasps/Worst Songs Ever!
The Oscar season is over for another year and the raspberries :cheeky: :cheeky: :cheeky: have also been awarded for the worst films. Thinking along these lines, I was wondering what are the worst songs ever recorded in your opinion?
Will add to this but, for starters,mine are:
Come On Eileen- Dexy's Midnight Runners
Cars- Gary Numan
The Times They Are A Changing & With God On Our Side-Bob Dylan
Bat Out Of Hell- Meatloaf
Muscle Bound- Spandau Ballet
I hate Enya's music- only beaten by Daniel O'Donnell :sick: I don't know any of the songs by name (honest!) but our ex- next door neighbour who was about 80 used to play them non- stop and drive me nuts! (They should've taken a leaf out of my late grandma's book and enjoyed a bit of 'Joebee' as she called Bon Jovi! :lol
All Ibiza/dance music as it's so samey and really sucks! :cheeky:

Oh yeah, I really can't stand Bob Dylan.
I'm picking up on a near-pathological loathing for Dexy's Midnight Runners, Carol.  This isn't the first time you've gone on about hating Come on Eileen, so I'm thinking there's a story to this somewhere...hmm... 
I read somewhere recently that Enya doesn't listen to music. I guess that includes her own, as if she did she'd realise what drivel it was and not release it. That Orinoco Flow one makes me feel sea-sick! :sick: :tdn:
Have to have a think about my pet hate songs!

I think Dylan has written some good songs but his voice is just so awful that I can't bear listening to him! Guns n Roses version of 'Knockin On Heaven's Door 'is amazing but the original... :sless: : :tdn: Hubby John quite enjoys his stuff but he's only allowed to play it in the car when the rest of the clan aren't in it.
Sorry to disappoint you Simon but this time I don't have a story up my sleeve to explain why I hate 'Come On Eileen'. I don't have anything against Eileens;in fact know some very nice ones! I just think Dexy's MR are the most talentless bunch of morons ever. I detest their 'music'. I hate the way COE builds up into a frenzy and that 'tooralooratooraloorayeah' bit.Oooh it makes me cringe! :sick: 
That info on Enya not listening to music explains a lot! :lol:

there was a song in the 80`s..and its the worst song ever
...but can`t remember who by, but heres a clue, he sang like his testies were in his mouth,there was a female on it
more talky than singy!! and the chorus was " and you can thank your lucky stars, we`re not as smart blah blah"
Dean Freedman? or something.....

Johno, this one comes close to 'Come On Eileen'- I remember it but wish I didn't! It is called 'Lucky Stars' and the guy was Dean Friedman. I am sounding too knowledgeable about it, aren't I ,but I don't have it in my collection - honest! :lol: It was truly awful! :goggle: :crazy: :sick:

'I Will Always Love You'- Dolly Parton. I hate country music and this is dire!A classic example of why sometimes songwriters should leave their stuff to those who can do justice to them. Bring it on Whitney!

Oh yeah T'Pau. i had forgotten about them. they were bloody awful! i hate most of the eighties stuff- Duran Duran , Dexys, Gary Numan, Go West, Bananarama, Boy George. The list goes on, they are all crap!
