What a difference a month makes? In the last two weeks I have lost 1.6 lbs and for the month of August lost 3.2 lbs. I'm very happy.. Not much has changed I think but maybe because I'm so willing and ready to do it this time around it's working. I don't know...

Hope you all are doing good. Sorry that I haven't posted in a while. I have been so busy with school.. But I got some good news I think... I didn't in the last few weeks lost or gained anything. I'm still at 179.2 LB. It's the same for the month. I'm very happy with that. Now.. my goal is to by at 170 before Thanksgiving. I think if I keep doing what I'm doing I can do that.
Re: Rachel's Journal.. Yeah Rachel keep up the good work and don't worry too much about not posting as regularly as you have been able to I know school throws us for a loop so post when you can at least once a week if you can twice a month if you can't.

Sorry that it has been so long since I have posted here. I have been so stressed out about living away from home, school that I started turning to food. In a two week time I gained 3 pounds. And this week I have lost 1 pound. Which is good. I'm glad to be losing weight again.
I thought because I walk every where I was doing good. But then when I weighed in last week and saw that I had gained weight I was so mad at myself that I didnt' want to post it here. My bad.. Anyway, I started thinking about the kinds of foods I had been eating and decided I needed to get back to eating more healthy and food that I would like to eat. It's a slow start but it's worth it.
My goal now is to be at 170 by the end of the semster which is Dec. 14th.
Re: Rachel's Journal.. It's been so long since I have posted. I got so busy with school that I put my weight lose to the side. But I'm back and ready to start the New Year and get healther and lose some weight. I'm happy to report that I started this year at 181.8 lbs. and I'm down to 180 not a lot in a year's time but 1.8 lbs is good for me. I know that I can lose more my goal is by the end of 2008 to lost at least 5 lbs. which I know isn't a lot but I think if I keep my goals little I can get to my over all goal of 150.
Just keep that smaller is better mentality going. If you keep the goals small and easy to attain then it won't feel so overwhelming to achieve the end result.
Instead of merely resolving to lose weight instead make a committment to yourself that you will work on making positive lifestyle changes a little at a time so that in the long run it will seem like second nature.

I am new and assisting to Joe with the website. I just wanted to reinerate why Joe said. Small steps!!! At times it seems hard but in the end the small things add up. Then one day before you know it you will be at your set goal. Keep up the great work.
