I just did it without tee tree oil and in a small bowl, with the half off the ingredients, and no gross water came out.
But my locks are young, just 5 month.
I heard that lemon juice would blech hair, and I have blond hair and I don't want my hair lighter, is there a risk that they are going to be lighter now if I go out in the sun becuse I had 1T lemonjuice, but I washed with lactacyd and water pretty well?
the lemon juice only bleaches ur hair if u go out in the sun with it in, the sun naturally bleaches hair but lemon juice speeds it up
Re: *cleanin the dreaddies* So, I have year old dreads, and I just tried this wash for the first time. It worked really well (a lot better than the shampoo I've been using). I usually wash them about once every 4 days. Do you think it would be okay to use this mixture for my regular washes? Or would that be too harsh?
… Nah, I'm guessing it's probably less harsh than any shampoo you'd use. I say if your dreads start to feel dry just eliminate the salt and perhaps even the lemon juice from the recipe. Can't get much purer than cleaning with baking soda. I also DEFINITELY recommend this mixture. I use it once per month and I'm always amazed by how clean it gets my hair/dreads.

*cleanin the dreaddies* well i ran around in my house and i found some baking soda... got me my tea tree oil and salt. and water. no lemon juice. put it on my locks. and while i was putting it on i looked at the water that was running off and it was purple (from the black dye i used like 3 months ago) my head is all tingily and my hands are gritty from the baking soda. im excited to see what kinda nasty **** comes out of my locks.
