Did it occur to you that in your generation, the older, matured groups ridiculed your particular musical interests?

Its nothing new, music will always be "crap", relative to the "succeeded" generations, while educing zeal in the younger generations.

There's no absolute "good ole days", thats foolish

Maybe it'd be best that you gain insight on the social dynamics of music, before establish and making such crude and churlish appraisal.

There are soo many stupid people in here, and quite frankly, the enviornment is rather stultifying.

It's funny, I was just speaking to my co-worker about music and she said "music today is crap (on the radio). it's such a commodity." She mentioned how older generations always think current music sucks (soulXstream also mentioned this), but in this case it is really true.

When I was in Bali, my bro & a friend gave me a **** load music/mixes. Most of it was 20-30 years old and amazing. None of it sounded like what's played on the radio...like that Lady Gaga crap. Even the current underground stuff was good.

The truth is...older musicians really set the standard. When I think of originality, I don't think of **** that's on the radio..I think of music that was out before I was even born or music I grew up with in the early 70's-80's.

So while I do think it IS possible to find some good music today, it's definitely NOT on the radio. I believe this was stated a few pages back when I agreed with somebody who said that radio music sucks.

Music has definitly had a very saddening downfall. It's like today an "artist" comes up with one or two "catchy" phrases ( that have no meaning other than 'you got a big ol' butt' or ' I wanna put it in you butt') and just add a beat and repeat the same lines over and over again, like I am supposed to remember that crap for a test or something. Why not repeat something with some meaning? Take the beatles for example, they had great music and it had serious meaning behind it weather it be about something that was happening then or something they wanted to see happen. We are living in a very exciting time, where all kinds of things are going on everyday, why not embrace that, and write about the things that are happening or need to happen.
