this was a historic moment. it was amazing to see the ENTIRE WORLD holding it's breath waiting to see who the next world leader would be. wasn't just north carolina, florida, virginia, pennsylvania N indiana. the WHOLE WORLD was watching us.

i had the unpopular opinion here, voting for mccain. N it's all good. if we all agreed 100% of the time, discussions would be a bunch of yes men glad handing each other--aka boring. but what i witnessed that night was the culmination of what will go down in history as the most interesting marathon to the white house. this man, who prolly 95% of this forum's community had never heard of prior to 2006, came out of the blue, defeated the clinton machine, escaped from the bitterness of black politics, defeated mccain, raised the more money than any other previous presidential candidate, N showed the ENTIRE PLANET that once again, our country blazes the trails.

obama will be the most UNKNOWN and UNTESTED political figure to setup shop in the southwest corner of the white house, so i still have my reservations. N i can only hope that this man has truly left his past behind him. many people really focused on obama's socialist past, N for our country... i hope we were wrong. it would be great if we got back on track as a nation and leave the BUll**** behind.

i was a plenty disappointed at 11:01 pm est, but after obama's speech, i was sitting in front of the tv feeling like i won a prize. so let's anticipate his presidency being as good as his speeches.
