Re: Would God want us to disrspect the Sacred Beliefs of others? Or respect them?
There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

Re: Would God want us to disrspect the Sacred Beliefs of others? Or respect them?
Any higher being that you worship, or your god. I would have to say that yes, every single person that I know that is religious. Will degrade, or cut down another ones religion. Think of how Christians disgrace the words of Satanism. Or, think of how most eastern cultures/religions believe in mostly in self indulgence, and self power. So, if your god didn't want us to disrespect each other. They wouldn't have created a path of living, or creating right, or wrong. Since, in most religions there is a set list of do and do not do. There will be disrespect to one another, and the sacred beliefs of another being. Simply because religions have created a good, and a bad. There for, if you have good, and bad. Somewhere down the road, you will have controversy. When that happens, it will lead to disrespect. Its a bound fact...
Also morals fall into play, morality builds from good, and bad. And since morals are so important to most people I have had a conversation with embrace morals, and make them an important factor of life. Its bound to crash man...Morals of people are different, so disrespect will take place.

I'm a bit confused. Someone please give me clarification.
Is it that many of you are upset at Jesus and/or the institution of Christianity, or is it that you are annoyed by RedeemedOne and similar others you've encountered?

Gotcha. I can definitely respect that. It can quickly get annoying.
If I may say a thing or two I'd like to. I don't intend sound "preachy" or anything like that. Imagine this: a person finds the cure to cancer...not a pill, but a standard of life. He then tells people this secret and tells them to tell others. Some may reject it; some may accept it. Centuries later you're told this secret, it saves your life, and in return you seek to tell others. More than likely you'll be so excited that you will express this miracle without thought and without any tactfulness. This will inevitably turn off, and maybe piss off, your listeners.
Well being a Christian means that we were once "diseased" by what we call sin, accepted the cure (Jesus), and in the beginning we run around excited, which we should be, but express this revelation without much thought or tactfulness when speaking with people. It's human nature...so it's understandable many of you may be tired of RedeemedOne posting unrelenting posts about Christian spirituality. However, please don't judge Jesus or His Church based upon the words or actions of His followers.
That's my two cents. :)
Nice dreads JhanisMum!

Snake oil salesman. "Sin" is a human invented concept.
A fake disease, and a bogus cure, all you gotta do is surrender your brain to what somebody wrote about your mutual imaginary friend.
If someone had a cure for cancer, that'd be something, because cancer is real.
I don't judge Jesus based on his followers (the church is composed of his followers, so of course we'd judge the church by "his" followers, ), I judge the mythology of the old and new testaments on their own merit and find them sorely wanting in most places, downright harmful for humans in other parts.
