What is your first thought when...

"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." --Ghandi

1.) What are your thoughts on Jesus?
2.) What are your thoughts on Christians?

(I am not starting this thread to be evangelical. I am here to be condescending or judgemental. I simply want honest conversation.)

I'm not convinced Jesus even existed. I'm actually curious what evidence there is to suggest he did... other than the bible

With Jops, still waiting for convincing evidence that he really existed.

"I am here to be condescending or judgemental."

(hee)was it condescending or judgemental of me to notice and point out what I am hoping was a typo?

I agree with Ghandi. And I don't really care whether or not jesus existed outside parable.

I think argument about existence is a waste of precious time when the real point should be:

what is the meaning of these stories?

I find modern christianity to be very unchristian.

Lol. Go me on my typo. That's just hilarious.

I'll also agree that we as Christians are much unlike Christ in many ways. I apologize for those who wave the banner of Christ to push their own agenda. I apologize for the politicians that use Jesus' name to swing the "christian" vote. I apologize for those always prying into the lives of others just to point out faults...we're all flawed(watch the local news). I apologize for those that have wronged you or anyone else without remorse and sympathy.

What would you suggest to christians, on an individual level, to do or not continue to do to better represent the values and traits of Jesus?

Huh, a considerate Christian. How refreshing.

How do you stand on different religions and homosexuality?

Re: What is your first thought when...

Thoughts upon Jesus, and Christianity. To me, its a tool to mass crowds of humans to worship, and pray to all the lies of the world. I feel any type of religion that fall under the lines of Christianity, or Judaism. Is nothing more then a joke. The crusades in my opinion, should have never happen. It was the start of the corruption of the world. The only religions that I feel that are okay to worship. Are the ones that are considered to be wrong by the eyes of the Christians. Any type of worship to the old gods, are okay too me. If I were not typing this on a dreadlock forum, and were to be talking to you in person. I would go much more into depth for my reasons, and thoughts. emoticon But, I like these types of threads. I really will enjoy reading on what people think, and hope more people get involved on such threads upon religion, mortality, etc. emoticon
