What happened to your gum, that you need surgical grafting?

well when i was younger, I had too much gum over some of my teeth, so they had to laser then off. i think it's that and old brushing habits (brushing too hard - which is what my dentist had told me), that ****ed up my gum.

for a while now i have been using a soft head electric toothbrush and am careful of my gums, but the damage is done from the past emoticon

very very weird..never heard of someone removing gums because they're too large. good luck fixing it nonetheless..

honestly though, you got a ****ed up grill or what?

nah...my teeth and smile look completely normal..the issue with my gum is on my back molar. you wouldn't even be able to notice it unless you were a trained professional..it just ****ing hurts!

my co-worker also had part of his gums removed, but they sliced his off and didn't use a laser like they did with me when i was a kid.

Re: …

well when i was a kid, my dentist said my grew too much over my tooth. it didn't completely cover it emoticon it just was higher than it should have been normally. so they removed the extra part that wasn't needed. honestly, it was so long ago..i don't remember if there was any medical reasoning for that...my dentist was a dumb ass douche, so who the hell knows.

In regards to oral pain, I can't handle that ****. The dentist has always scared me. I think it's because I have such a high tolerance to novacaine. When I had a filling done, they gave me 8 shots and I could still feel the drill. Oh man..don't even get me started on the drill..that noise.. emoticon
