You can sometimes blast through the pain if you are motivated enough. Once in gradeschool I was playing goalie for gym-class soccer and some son of a ***** scored a perfect shot right in my nuts. The bastard burst out laughing and I was so determined to not give him the satisfaction I completely played it off like it grazed me and I successfully disappointed him. When everybody turned around to chase the ball the other way I was about doubled over from the pain.
