Crabs can be found on other parts of the body, especially on men. They like course hair, and if you have thick body hair, crabs will nest there, too...even on eyebrows. Regardless, crabs do not live on scalps of all places...weird, I know.
It may be that you had body lice, which clings to all body hair, even thin and smooth body hair.
Interesting trivia...human lice only live on humans, dog lice on dogs, cattle lice on cattle, etc.
Fleas are much larger and jump off the host after munching. You also feel their bite.
PS...fleas or mildew...tea tree will keep both far away.

wasent crabs, dididnt spend time with anybody who had them, cat had clears, dad got them, buddy got them from the cat, and i got them , it was fleas.
