Grantaire chuckles weakly, as he struggles to keep his eyes open.
"Who sazz weh've gotta chance in th' firs' place?" the cynic slurs, his speech more impared than it usually is drunk. He flinches away from Joly with a whimper as the doctor begins to sew the wound shut, but Bossuet keeps Grantaire in place. His brain doesn't seem to be functioning at a normal pace, so much of the reactions that he repressed when he first got shot are now coming to the surface.
"Hold still just for a moment, Grantaire." the doctor says soothingly. "Just a moment, and I'll be all done and you'll be back to being our dear, irritating Winecask."
"'k." Grantaire mutters, trying to nod his head in recognition.

Grantaire lets out a very weak snort of laughter at that.
"Of course y'do, 'Pollo." he says sardonically. Beside him, Joly finishes up the last of the stitches and ties a knot, snipping the end of the thread off and depositing the scissors in his bag before he beings to retrieve some of the strips of bandages Musichetta and Manon were cutting so he can bind the wound.
"Almost done, Grantaire." he assures the cynic.
"S'rry t'be suchha bother..." Grantaire mutters sleepily, eyes downcast.

"Th'nks, 'Chetta..." Grantaire slurrs, as his eyes droop slightly. He jerks his head, tryng to stay awake. "...tired." he mutters, as he squeezes his eyes shut before opening them fully. Beside him, Joly is just finishing up the rest of the bandages, leaving a large wrap around his shoulder and over his chest to support the shoulder, as well as a sling, which he eases Grantaire's arm into. The movement to the sling is accompanited by a wince and another sound of pain, but otherwise, the cynic is strangely silent.
"There you are, Grantaire." Joly says, still kneeling, hands and shirt bloody to accompany that streak on his forehead whe he whiped it earlier with his hand. "Now, let's get you standing, shall we?"
