Cosette drops his hands and throws hers to her mouth.
"Wha-what?" She seems to have lost all ability to speak. She looks down at him on his knee and bursts out crying.
"Marius, I...yes! Yes of course I'll marry you!" She jumps into his arms, kissing him and knocking him backwards. "Yes yes yes yes yes!"

Marius hardly notices how the bench is digging into his back as he is showered with Cosette's kisses. Words fail him at the moment as he holds her close him to him, a broad smile on his face.

"We're getting married!" she squeals. "I can't wait to tell Papa..." Cosette trails off, a look of concern crossing her face.
