Why use wood and cardboard?
Hello, I must say great projects. Last year I constructed an 11 foot General Grievous that won lots of prizes around town.
I have a suggestion for you for your future projects. Have you tried using 3/4 inch PVC pipe ? You can drill through it easy with wood screws and using the connectors and elbows from the hardware store make the frame nearly unbreakable.
I have another question for you regarding voice modulators. I can't find anything cheap besides a little megaphone with mini stereo jack. This would work great but my voice would remain the same, the smaller more "for kids" modulators are incredibly quiet and can't be heard nearly everywhere you would want to show off your rig. Keep in mind I don't want to carry a laptop around to run software just for something like this.
Thank you

Re: Why use wood and cardboard?
hi !!!
thanks for the suggestions ,i,m currently re-thinking my costume building process since i have a new transformer costume that,s i,m dreaming of building so any suggestions is always appreciated...
as for a voice modulator... there are some small ones that are sold just about any store during halloween and what you can do is to buy a portable stereo that work with batteries with a inlet to plug a microphone or a auxilary inlet.......that the radio appart and only keep what you need...weld the output wire of the small voice modulator
into the micro/aux inlet after that intergrate the entire thing in your costume and voila !!! you got a voice/modulator with an intergrated stereo that will boost the voice output x (the sky,s is the limit)...

Re: Why use wood and cardboard?
I thought about that but figured that using an amplified output in to a source like that would really mess things up.. but I guess not. Thanks for the info

Re: Why use wood and cardboard?
you just need to control the bass/treble and volume output and you should get something nice coming out of the speakers.....
and you,re welcome !!!
