Re: Materpiece Optimus prime 20th anniversary trailer projects
Hi Mark,
first i want to apologize for my bad english, but i'm italian and it's a little difficult for me to write in a different language...
I wonder if you would be so kind to answer to some question i have about your Masterpiece trailer project..
1 How much time you need to build one trailer( type 2 and 3)?
2 About the payment, i have to pay for the toy when i place the order or before the shipment of the finished toy or other( for example half at order placement and the other half when the toy is ready for shipment)
3 What means of payment do you accept(paypal, credit card, etc)
4 Can you be more specific about the difference between the simple transformable and the electronical trailer? Ther aren't any other differece besides elctronics?
And exactly which parts of the trailer are electronical?
5 The final toy is fully painted? And about the stickers? Have i to apply them?
6 Will i be able to store an Alternators or Binal Tech transformer inside the trailer?
7 and last o you ship worldwide ^^...
Sorry to bother with those silly questions, but i'm planning to place an order for one of your trailers (i'm undecided between type 2 and 3) and i wish to have all the possible information ^_^.
I hope to have not bothered you too much
Thanks in advice

Re: Materpiece Optimus prime 20th anniversary trailer projects
Hi,
I just placed an order for the supreme trailer myself and he told me that he only needed 10% down up front, but I went ahead and did $100 for my initial payment. He does prefer PayPal if you have it. As far as if Binaltech figures fit into the trailer, that is a good question. I am not sure on that.
Take care,
Gregg

Re: Materpiece Optimus prime 20th anniversary trailer projects
hi !!!
well first i,d like to say welcome aboard
now for the answers you seek....
1. right now i,m in the range of 2 1/2 months depending on how the supplies get in and also i,m developping some techniques at the same time to increase quality and the look of the trailers
2.for payment it,s up to you initially i request a 10 % deposit and the balance + shipping and handling when the trailer is almost ready for delivery ... and the weight of the trailer is about 1.5 kg so if you want to check for delivery prices you are more then welcome but thus far with what i see i wont be expensive.....
3. i accept paypal mostly because in my opinion it,s the safest way for you and me to do business and it gives proof of payment but some people have offered money orders witch is also a good payment method...
4.the difference between the suprme and the regular version is this : the supreme has a motorized roller witch has light-up control panel and search light in the lower front as for the trailer itself the laser turret has the two cannons firing (in and out action) when you press a button when the mouth of the cannons are extended to their max a bright red led comes on and really gives the impression of firing also there are controls panels that lights up and one panel (the radar panel) has some led action also... also there are running lights on the side of the claw rails witch give a terrific effect and there are also a couple more lights effects included ...the regular version does not have thoses effect and the panel will probably be stricker reprensenting the same panel as the supreme version....
5.all of the 3 versions are fully painted and the stickers are applied....
6.that is a very interesting question...and thus far what i see is that with the one that i have (sideswipe) it misses about 2 cm to close the rear door... in deployed mode it get on no problem... i,ll probably show some pictures of it on my site probably tomorrow but if it,s important to you or any other person who would want this option there is defenitly a way to do it but it involves modifying the center control station... shorten it a bit it will still look great but the sideswipe could go in and out no prob....
7. yes i will be shipping worldwide there,s really no reason why i should,nt
dont worry about questions ... with thoses i received it gives me new ideas and help me improve my designs... and if you have any other questions feel free to ask it will be a pleasure to answer....

Re: Materpiece Optimus prime 20th anniversary trailer projects
Thank you very much for your answers ^_^...
I think that the possibilitly to store other alternators in the trailer is very cool and i'm very happy that is possible to modify the design to make it possible.
Another cool addiction to your trailer could be the possibility to extend the laser turret outside the trailer even when the trailer is closed(like in the old "optimus" toy), so to provide Our Optimus a bit of firepower even in is transformed version ^_^...
Anyways i think i will get the supreme version ^_^...
your work is really awesome.
A suggestion...
Can't you improve the quality of trailer's pictures in your site?
They arent't very clear ^^
Thanks
bye

Re: Materpiece Optimus prime 20th anniversary trailer projects
well the extensiion of the lasr turret in truck mode would be possible but it would also require a hole on top of the trailer witch in my view would be a bit of a downside but if you want it ...it can be done!! as for high resolution pictures, when the retail version of the trailer is done i,ll try to have high-resolution pictures....

Re: Materpiece Optimus prime 20th anniversary trailer projects
I was just curious and had some more questions.....what type of connector is there on the bottom of the trailer to attach to Masterpiece Prime?
What is the thickness of the styrene walls for the trailer.....durability wise.....
For the illuminated panels.....What are the panels made of for the graphics.....
Thanks,
Gregg
