I'm about halfway through the season of my latest stage show where I play Optimus, and yesterday we took the big red guy out to do some flyering. We handed out a whole bunch of flyers, and I had my photo taken with dozens of people. People just love the big guy.

well the best tip that i could give you is to design your articulation and with a gundam model, with of course your body as the main structure and with that you should be able to design just about anything...also you could check http://tfcosplay.buildtolearn.net/

he has allot of ressources for building just about any kind of robot type costume !!!
