Re: transformers halloween costumes
i mean the body piece if it will be in 2 parts (front/back) that sets on you ,or will it open to allow you to get in ,ect.....
because the first system i that designed was to let you get in the body piece by the side and well... was,nt to efficient....

Re: transformers halloween costumes
what I use for the chest is a piece that just slides on from the top like this
|========\
||===|...........\
||.......|............|
||.......|............|
......^
Think of these dots as empty space
shoulders are what always give me trouble, this year I decided to set them up like pauldrons, I think they're called, so they're connected to gether and thats what helps to keep them on, for the midchest level I use a soft foam that can bend and move and have it set up like a clap trap, thats connected directly to the pelvis peice which just slides on, I've found that to be the best setup, out of the ones I've tryed.

Re: transformers halloween costumes
well the best system that i,ve found to work best in my case is simple really i,ve designed it with my dragon suit i enter the body piece from the back witch opens up like two pantry doors then you close them afterwarf and i bought an industrial zipper witch is the best damn thing i,ve ever could have used to close the rear because it,s resistant and no complex mechanism....after that you simply put a back piece to hide the zipper and voila !!!

Hound Costume
Hey could you give me some ideas on how to make a G1 Hound costume for a 5 year old. I'm exposing him to the original transformers and he loves them! I wanted to make him a G1 Inferno and he liked it until he saw hound. I thought about using the Hako-Clone Hound as a base because I am an amateur. I want it to be sturdy and make the headlights work. Any input?

Re: transformers halloween costumes
Hmm if it's a 5 year old, I'd probably just go with cardboard it should be sturdy enough, and cover it with paper mache to give it extra strength, for the headlights I'd probably set up flash lights or something, for the lights on my costume I'm using white battery powered christmas lights, that'd probably work too if you can find them, though might take more setup then flashlights, make sure you plan out before hand and take lots of measurements

Re: transformers halloween costumes
What materials should I use to keep the arms, fists, and legs from slipping or rotating?

Re: transformers halloween costumes
hum my idea would be to take a shirt with long sleaves add a zipper in the back and glue the parts on his shirt ...that,s what i did for my borg suit and it works wonders !!!

Re: transformers halloween costumes
my advice would be to widden the front from a certain point so to not interfere with the arms movements.... or to make the height of the front of the jeep shorter... that will balance the look i think
