It's actually quite satisfying to crash them. No, really!

heck, if anyone can do it it'll be you. Keep us updated!

And if you want to see a 3D 'War Within' Jetfire transform, check out:
http://www.10fingers.com/3d/transform.htm

I just discovered that site ...
And here's some nice 3D images of cartoon/comic Jetfire. If you ask Rainking nicely maybe he'll share the skin with you so you can check it from all angles ...

You know, I have a lot of criticism for that prime costume, but after seeing you in that kickass jetfire costume jumping off a bridge... I just respect the hell out of you now. I mean, damn!

Thanks!

But please, give me a list of your criticisms of the Prime costume. I'm re-fitting it now and I need all the feedback I can get. Don't hold back, this is stuff I need to know.

Well, alright. It looks like Prime has dwarfism. The torso is understandably huge, but the limbs seem puny in comparison. I understand that you already fell over on the existing stilts, so maybe you could just widen the legs to improve the proportion. I'd also suggest making the pelvis plate taller, that would cut into the size of the torso a bit more. Of course, that might interfere with the transformation. The legs are the big thing.

And on a personal note, my mother just returned from a trip to LA and she brought me back a kung fu uniform from Chinatown, so I'm considering holding off on the prime costume until the next nerd convention comes along. Did I tell you guys my theory about transformers being the ultimate convention thing? They're sci-fi, they're comic books, they're anime, they're fantasy, they're collectables.. You could wear a transformers costume to ANY convention and it would be appropriate. Electronics expos, auto shows...

Yeah, good call. I was never happy with those skinny-ass legs, but could never quite find the time to remake them.

They'll be the first thing on my list to fix!

Anything else? C'mon, you've gotta have something else!
(Sorry to harp on about it but you guys are a godsend to a lonely TF cosplayer like me.)

well i do have one suggestion is that if you use your costume for competition like say in a club to win prizes one thing that you might do is add lighting effects and also make your paint more metallized... that will reflect more light in dark places like clubs....that,s what i do except for my dragon suit ...i had to make him black....

also more details like pneumatic hoses and all so of mechanical components that might be added in the places where the articulations are but without comprimising your confort...

dont hesitate to make some changes... look at prime in the new g1 cartoon series from dreamwave.... you,ll see what i mean emoticon

We don't have anything like that here in Australia, as far as I know. The first I ever heard of costume competitions in nightclubs was on this board ...

And that sux, 'cos that money would come in handy!
But losing to some chick dressed as a rat trap would annoy me no end.

Prime cuts

I've created a Yahoo group so I can post more photos of my Optimus prime costume:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/thesuperhappyrobothour/
but I can't link the photos, and people can't access the photos without joining the group, which might be a pain in the ass. Oh well. Some photos are there, if you can be bothered to look. In some of them Prime doesn't look quite as munted as he did in that first photo!
