Re: TF cosplay from the web
Yeah thanks, I think I have a general idea of how I'm gonna do the sword, gonna try to get all the essential pieces done tomorrow, and then do the helmet and sword on wednesday and thursday, I will post more pics as it comes together.
Anyone else notice it seems like there was a lot more transformer costumes going on last year?

Re: TF cosplay from the web
Hello everyone. New to the board here.
I made a OP costume for my six-era old son. It's not even in the same league as the costumes I've seen on here, though! Any feedback is appreciated! Thanks!

Re: TF cosplay from the web
Materials? Well, corrugated cardboard and paper packing tape (gummed backing) comprised the majority of the costume. The stacks are PVC with holes drilled in the bottom pipes. Windshield is smoky plastic (scavanged from one of our products at work). Front grill was made from 14" strips of balsa wood (can't see detail in that pic - samn flash!). Wheels were from a big toy truck.
The only electronics in this is in the arm. The communicator lid lifts up, where a picture of Jazz is. The control panel has one real button sticking up, which, when pushed, plays a recording (from TF:TM - "Megatron must be stopped... no matter the cost"). I used a Radio Shack 30-sec greeting card recorder, but replaced the speaker with a bigger speaker (after making the recording - their speaker is also the microphone).
I'll try to get a better pic or two in the next few days. I've thought about making one for myself, but I'm a CFO of a company (not to mention two kids), and I have very, very little spare time. It's easier to justify a costume for my son.
I love your Starscream costume. My son has said he wants to be either Starscream or Soundwave next year, and I've drawn a LOT of inspiration from your site! Thanks!
