Who have you seen?
I've seen some wicked live bands over the past few months, mostly in Bristol, but there have bee a few good gigs in Frome and some miming in Trowbridge. Just wondering which bands/artists forum members have seen locally or further afield?

I saw Port Erin play at the Student Battle of the Bands in Moles a few weeks ago.
And the best band I've seen lately are the Monster Bastard Project, they're from Bath and they're playing this Friday 24th March at the Bell by the Green in Devizes, well worth going!

as for non-local bands, Kill Kenada also played at Devizes last month, they were great.
I'm going to see Mogwai next week in Bristol, can't wait!

I've seen ...
I was lucky enough to get one of the 2000 tickets to go to Buckingham Palace "Party at the Palace" and saw Brian May, Phil Collins, Atomic Kitten, Shirley Bassey Bryan Adams, Tom Jones, Queen & Will Young, Annie Lennox,
Cliff Richard, Ozzy Osbourne (FANTASTIC), Elton John, Brian Wilson & The Corrs, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Joe Co|cker, Rod Stewart & Paul McCartney. Thanks to Her Maj!! Also cheers for the tea, beer & champers.
I've also seen (although ashamed to admit) the Spice Girls & Michael Jackson.
This year have got tickets (so far) to see UB40, The Stranglers, Pet Shop Boys & more yet to be announced.

Can't seem to get out of the 80s passion although I do like a lot of new bands too - just not got round to seeing any.

Sorry Betty, but I'd be embarrassed to have seen any of that crowd, 'cept Ozzy for the fun factor. As for Her Maj, it's a shame we never had a revolution!
Seriously, there are some great bands around at the moment – Interpol, Editors, Ambulance Ltd, We Are Scientists etc. Even the old bands of ill repute are out with their walking sticks kicking up a fuss – Buzz****s, SLF, Damned etc – also some great local bands around who are maybe destined for greater things – Black Bud from Bradford upon Avon just got single of the week on Radio 1. Then there is always Farque playing someplace! (The Nose) - Great fun! Just got to go looking for it.
Just keep away from that MOR tripe!!

Each to their own Travis - can't all have the same taste as the world would be very boring. I have seen Farque several times - they don't do much for me.

Nice to get a wider outlook on music Mr Bickle.
We need much more diversity here.....and I think we're going to get it.
I saw The Edgar Broughton Band in Devizes Corn Exchange......"Out Demons Out!!"....and all that.
Used to get good bands in them days, and we paid with £sd...........you could get a pint in The Dolphin for 1/10.
Used to go to the Assembly Rooms in Melksham as well.
