George Ward School Redevelopment.
A planning application to build 270 houses on the site of the current George Ward School has been refused by local planning authorities on several grounds.
Revised plans are expected to be submitted soon. It was suggested that the site may would have been overdeveloped and would have reduced the buffer between Melksham and Shaw.
What does everybody think should happen to the site? The sale of the site will provide the county council with much needed funds to pay for the new school at Woolmore Farm.
There have been suggestions that the plans should be scrapped and the money spent on revamping the current school. What do you think?
