Re: New site for George Ward School
What would you like to see built there then Sonic? if not houses.
Its a huge site and that would mean ALOT of houses if thats the way they decided to go, I agree with you that they shouldnt build houses there but I'd rather that than it standing derilect or unused for years to come.

Re: New site for George Ward School
I agree Bowerhill is much to far out of town, there must surely be somewhere more central.

Re: New site for George Ward School
I think with the new proposed housing development at Clackers Brook and now the school on Woolmore Farm the centre of Melksham will be moving eastwards anyway.

Re: New site for George Ward School
Should be kept where it is............purchase the field opposite to gain extra land for sports, then use the current games/sports area for new buildings......get a new super duper bridge over the road(or a tunnel under).
Make that the campus side of town.....cool.
get a campus radio station...........yes lets really make it something to be proud of. Get the kids involved, they have opinions you know, ask them what they think about their schooling.
Have a Town Poll.
Yeah!

Re: New site for George Ward School
Think you will find it was a Dr who owns the land & does organic farming & said it would interfere with this, so maybe they are having to think again.
