PFI Housing Scheme
According to reports, WWDC is pressing ahead with all planning applications for the identified sites for the PFI scheme. They have to find space for 200 affordable homes in West Wilts and sites being looked at in Melksham include areas in Bowerhill, Union Street and Dorset Crescent. IMHO these sites are totally unrealisitic in terms of development and the dc should be finding more logical sites. What do you guys think?

Re: PFI Housing Scheme
Only 200 what has happened about the Clackers Brook development 750 homes? Is that going ahead or not?
There is planning permission gone in last week for 16 homes (flats and houses)on the CN Vines site behind the Murco petrol station on Sandridge Road. I have posted elsewhere on this site asking for support.
We don't need more housing, we need jobs, and shops which will add some life to Melksham.
Whilst helping my daughter do a project on the town history I was astonished to find out what a thriving town it was - sadly not now.

Re: PFI Housing Scheme
I am writing about the PFI HOUSING SCHEME, i live in the area of Dorset crescent, and cant believe they are trying to knock 30 garages down to build two houses,we currently rent a garage,so that are car is safe, locked in a secure place,to stop it being vandalised.the housing society are now wanting to build car parking on a grassed area, which as far as im concerned should be left as a grass area,if they do this it will end up we have no grass any where, as it will all have houses built on it,does anyone fill the same, let me know
