MARCH FOR YOUR BUN
For 150 years the Churches & Sunday Schools have held a Whit March.
The "March of Witness" on Whit Sunday (June 4th 2006) is one of two major United activities by the Frome Area Christians Together, (FACT). The other is a United Service held (usually) on the 3rd Sunday of October in the Cheese & Grain Hall Market Yard FROME.
This year, the March of Witness will assemble with Banners in the Victoria Park Frome at 2.00 pm. After a Hymn & Prayer (led by Rev David Barge of St Mary's) the marchers will assemble in Weymouth Road and, led by Frome Town Youth Band will march to the Frome Memorial Theatre for a Service at 3.00 pm.
This will be conducted by Mrs GE Parsons (Secretary of Rook Lane Congregational Sunday School) and the address will be given by Rev Neil Maxted (Priest in Charge of Christ Church Frome).
After the service, the traditional distribution of Whit Buns will take place. Tea Coffee and Squash will then be served in the foyer of the theatre.
For further details, contact any FACT church.
