Rurouni Kenshin: Tides Of Blood
RK: Tides Of Blood
Episode One: A Brief Rest
The blood stained moon gleamed evily on the bowels of Japan...Kyoto, 1868. The scar shown bright in the moonlight.Himura The Battousai was a different young man, red hair and blue eyes...a foreigner from the West who was raised under the strict moral of Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu. He took in a deep breath of the late spring air, white plum scent flowed through his nostrils from the light blue shawl that wrapped loosly about his neck. His hair was tied in a high tail and his eyes burned an angry amber.
There was another at his side, a tall barrel chested man with a black ponytail that stuck out behind him in jagged lockes. He had dark black eyes that could pierce the soul, he had several weapons, a jack of all trades...he was Tencatta the Ichi.
The two of them stood before th second and third squads of the Shinsengumi.Their leaders, Hajime Siatou and Soushi Okita stood at the front.
Siatou: "Well...Battousai, it looks as if you and the hog are trapped like rats." (Referring to Tencatta)
Battousai popped open his sword with his thumb, revealing an inch of the blade.
Battousai: "Come."

Okita: "Your style must be getting to your head Battousai..we have you surrounded, you are going to die tonight.."
Siatou: "Careful Okita...dogs can often look like sheep to a wolf at times."
Okita: "Do you mean....yes of course."
Siatou: "An ambush."
The buildings on either side of them exploded,members of the Ishin Shishi rained down on the wolves of Mibu.
Siatou: "Kira!! Round your troops!! Flank the rebels and crush them in this alley way! Tobufashimi must not fall to their clutches!!"
Kira: "Yes Siatou-Sama!!"
Tencatta: "Kenshin-Kun...we cannot allow them to suceed!"
Battousai: "Yes Soshio-Dono, I am afraid you're right...I must kill once more."
The two armies rush toward each others, swords clash and blood spatters. Battousai strikes from his sheath, slicing a Shinsengumi in half, whirls around and decapitates another, then leaps high into the air, slicing a third's skull and spine neatly in half. Siatou thrusts forward through an Ishin Shishi's throat, then he thrusts sideways, ripping the legs off another. Tencatta stuck his scabbard into the ground and leaps up and off of its' end as he throws konsais, two of them hit the Shinsengumi in each eye and one strikes his mouth. Tencatta grabs his scabbard as he flips over another Shinsen member then crushes his skull between his scabbard and his blade. Okita darts toward an Ishin rebel, slicing him in half as he passes through him. Okita then breaks anothers' neck with his legs as he stabs another through the ear an out the other. All four men, meet in the middle of the battle.
Battousai: "Siatou, retreat your men..this is insane!"
The Shinsengumi ran into the shadows.
Tencatta: "Did..did he just do what you said?"
Battousai: "Oro?"
Tencatta: "What the hell was that? What a strange way to say 'huh'!"
Battousai: "I don't know..maybe I am feelin a little better."
Tencatta: "This is strange...what now?"
Battousai: "I heard rumor of some Ishin Shishi rebels who were going to assasinate some of our own known as the Sekehotai in the very forest ahead..w should stop them."
Tencatta: "You're right."
The two of them leave the grounds, other rebels fallow, they enter a clearing with tall grass at the base of the forest.
Battousai: "I smell..gunpowder!"
A great explosion roars through the air.

The Shinsengumi had hidden cannons in the tall grass. It was a trap, Battousai and Tencatta would not make it to aid the Sekehotai. Battousai ran toward the line of cannons.
Tencatta: "Kenshin-Kun!!"
Battousai leaped milliseconds before the cannon ball ripped apart the ground where he had stood. Battousai landed on the nearest cannon. The Shinsengumi member screamed. His scream was stopped as Battousai flicked blood off is sword.
Battousai leapedfrom cannon to cannon, cutting and slashing Shogunate to Shogunate as he did so.
Siatou: "Men!! Arm those cannons!!"
Battousai landed.
Kira: "No Rebel will be found in Kyoto alive! It must burn in the fires of hell!"
Kira launched his torch, it landed in a vat of oil, sparking the Tobufashimi district aflame.
Battousai lunged at Kira, who blocked with a clash of the blade.
Battousai: "There are children in there!"
Kira: "They serve a cause!"
The two fought, flipping and lunging, both swords matched each other. Battousai grabbed Kira's blade and cut open is belly with his sword hand.
Kira: "Mia....I cannot die!"
Battousai looked shocked.
Three years earlier, a dying Kyosato.
Kyosato: "Tomoe...I cannot die!"
Battousai: "To....mo......e..."
Tencatta: "Oi! Kenshin!! Look out!"
Tencatta through a tanto, piercing an attacking man's skull.
Battousai stuck Kira in the heart, Kira grabbed a locket he wore about his neck and pulled it off.
Kira: "Mia...."
He fell, a passing soldier tromped on the locket, cracking it open. It revealed a black and white photo of a Japanese maiden. Battousai fell to his knees and scooped it up from the mud.
Battousai: "To...moe, Tomoe."
He gently placed the locket in Kira's hand.
Battousai: "I am sorry, Kira. Your thoughts as well as others, remain in my heart."
At that moment, Tencatta was faced by Siatou.
Siatou: "Ah yes, the Ichi...an infamous demon."
Siatou rushed Tencatta. They blacked eachother, Tencatta smirked and threw a bomb at Siatou.
Siatou: "Hmm."
But the fuse was much shorter then expected.
Okita: "A short fuse bomb! Look out, Siatou-Sama!"
The bomb exploded, Siatou let out a yelp and fell to the ground. The other Shinsengumi ad either died or retreated and on that day, the rebels had won.
Okita (put down sword.): "Soshio-Dono, let us not fight. I surrender."
Tencatta(raising sword): "By what oath?"
Okita: "I've known of you Soshio-Dono. your family was raped and killed by rougue Shogunate who were angry because you would not join them, so you joined the rebels. Your family was stolen from you...I am sorry."
Tencatta: "How can I be sure?"
A cannon, let off a late firing. Okita flew through the air, slamming into Tencatta's sword.
Okita (coughs.): "I...didn't want it to end..this way.."
Tencatta gently put him down. He began to take off Okita's robe, to attempt to stop the bleeding. HE had wraps on his chest.
Tencatta "You..you are a woman..."
Okita: "Yes...I...I heard of your legend, I wanted to find you, to track you down...so I joined the Shinsengumi, hoping...to find you. I wanted..wanted to help you regain your family again, Tencatta Soshio...I loved you..loved your spirit..I..."
Her eyes grew blank.
Tencatta: "Okita? Okita?"
He shook her, she did not blink.
Tencatta: "Why? Spirits..tell me WHY!!?"
The fire had spread, dividing the clearing in two. Battousai leaped through a break in the flame were it was about to burn a tree. He ran to Soshio.
Battousai: "I am sorry, Soshio-Dono. We must keep moving, the fire will consume us."
Tencatta: "As it should."
Battousai: "Think of yur family, of her, they want you to live on."
Battousai closed Okita's eyes. They carried her to the foothills.
Battousai "We have to leave her here, the Shinsengumi will be back before dawn, they will most likely give her a proper burial."
Tencatta: "And what will you do?"
Battousai: "Atone...find those who need my aid."
Tencatta: "How? wander the whole damned country looking for them?"
Battousai: "If I must."
Tencatta: "So, you will go from Himura Kenshin the Battousai to Rurouni Himura Kenshin? That's hilarious!"
Battousai: "It is my obligation, Soshio-Dono."
Tencatta: "Let's make a bet. Right here, right now, let's never take lives of human beings, instead let us save them."
Battousai: "It's a deal."
With that, the two of them walked opposite ways.
"In the dying days of the Tokuguwa, two men were feared above all others, Himura The Battousai and Tencatta the Ichi. This is the tale of their vagabond journeys...."

The year was Meiji, 1881. The Sixteenth of April. It was a cool spring morning, the grass and air still smelled of the evening rain from the night before.
The Kamiya Dojo was quaint and rather dusty, but hospitable and pleasant. In it's yard, two people were near the well. A man about six one, 21 years old, with spiky brown hair and a red bandana, he wore a raggedy white karate outfit with the symbol for 'bad' painted on its' back. He hung the other, a small boy, about twelve, with black hair and blue hakama and a green gi, by the foot over the well.
Sanosuke: "That was my fish goddammit!! And you ate it!!"
Yahiko: "Oh yeah..did you pay for it, loser!?"
Sanosuke let go of Yahiko's foot then caught him again by the collar, Yahiko shrieked. Sanosuke pulled Yahiko to his face.
Sanosuke: "Listen..you little brat! Tomarrow morning the paper is gonna read 'Punk Ass Kid Fell Into Well' and you'll be stuck in their 'till you piss your pants!!"
Yahiko: "Yeah? Well here's something you don't know.."
Sanosuke (putting Yahiko down.): "What's that?"
Yahiko (pulls out a smoked fish.): "I still gotta eat my fish too!!"
Yahiko laughs and runs around one side of the dojo.
Sanosuke (chasing after him.): "You little pube!! Get back here!!"
A young woman, about nineteen, with a purple kimono with white orchids on it and a yellow obi, had a ponytail held up with a green ribbon, sighed with joy as she slid open a door down the hall of the dojo. Lying in a futon on the room's floor was a man with red hair, once known as Battousai The Manslayer. His ponytail was now held toward the nape of his neck and the scar was as bright as ever.
Kaoru: "Kenshin? It's not like you to sleep in so late...is everything alright?"
Kenshin (turned, then sat up and yawned.): "Ah, Kaoru-Dono, I just caught some much needed rest. It is a fine morning for napping, de gozarimasu."
Kaoru (gently pulling down one side of Kenshin's sleeping robe.): "That bite mark you got from Shishio, it's scarred hasn't it?"
Kenshin: "I am afraid so."
He got up and smiled, his blue violet eyes gleamed, but could not hide the sadness that was always in them...
Kenshin calmly walked to the well and hung his robe on the bamboo poles next to it. His body was covered with scars, burns, bullet wounds and other blemishes. He poured the water over his body then put the robe back on.
Kaoru(peaking from the dojo.): "More scars, you've gained so many more this past year, Kenshin."
Kenshin: "Did you need somethnig, Kaoru?"
Kaoru: "No...I was just thinking..."
Kenshin: "Yes?"
Kaoru: "Maybe, maybe it's time to end training for a while and work on other things...I've seen your paintings you sell, perhaps you could look into that as a career?"
Kenshin (smiling.): "Maybe.."
Sanosuke (hands in pockets): "Damn kids....oh, Kenshin! You're awake...do you think you could use your Mitsurugi style to help me catch the brat?"
Kenshin: "Stole your food again, did he?"
Sanosuke: "Yeah...dammit! Anyway, I gotta get to Sasaki-Sensei's, he wants me to work with his kids again this spring."
Kenshin: "That's a fine job you have, Sano."
There was a knock at the back gate.
Kaoru: "I wonder who it could be?"
Sano: "Well, Jo-Chan, go look..duh!"
Kaoru (smiling sweetly.): "You shut up!"
Kenshin: "Oro?"

Kaoru opened the gate, a young woman, eighteen, stood shyly at the gate, wearing a bright green kimono with cranes on it. Her hair was tied in a high knot using red ribbon.
Kaoru: "Oh! Toki-Chan! What a pleasent surprise!! Come in come in!!"
Toki smiled meekly as she walked into the yard. Kenshin tied his white hakama and adjusted his blue kimono as he walked off the porch and back into the yard, a slightly tired, limp carried in his right leg, almost unnoticable.
Kenshin: "Toki-Dono..how are things?"
Toki: "It's been hard since Shigure was killed last winter, I am so alone now...but I thank you Kenshin-Sama, for everything you did for Shigire, myself, and Gentatsu-Kun."
Kenshin: "Mah, mah. It was necessary. Now, how may we be at your service?"
Toki: "The Takimi dojo is so cold now, I was wondering if I could stay nights here? I still run the school their in the day, I make one-hundred yen a month, so I could pay for rent..I just, am lonely..."
Kaoru: " No need for rent, Toki! We are pleased at your company!"
Toki: "Really?"
Sano: "Or you could bunk with me? A cozy one room apartment,with all the excitement of The Ruffian Rowe!! There's plenty of warmth to go around!! Hee, hee!!"
Kaoru: "SANOSUKE!!!! OOHH!! YOU PERVERT!!! FEEL THE WARMTH OF MY FIST!!"
Sano: "Uh....I was only kidding, I can't afford another mouth to feed."
Kenshin: "Or your own, it seems..heh, heh.."
Sano: "What'd ya say? Ya wide-eyed, red-headed freak?"
Kenshin: "Oro?"
Toki: "Well, I guess I'll find my room on my own?"
Kaoru chases Sano, Sano bops Kenshin on the head, Kenshin tips over.
Kenshin: "Orrooorrrrro.."
Toki: "Strange, oh well, it will be nice here."
Kaoru looks up and runs to Toki, all hapy now.
Kaoru: "Oh, Toki-Chan...let me show you to your room!"
She helps Toki with her few belongings, a brush, some soap, incense, perfume, and a box of toothpicks.
Toki: "You are a lucky woman, Kaoru-Chan."
Kaoru (blushing): "Why is that?"
Toki: "Kenshin, Sanosuke, all of your freinds, they're so kind."
Kaoru: "I always thought Shigire-San was a nice man."
Toki (shaking head.): "The first time he smiled, was that awful night that he was shot, at the temple. I will aways be in all of your debts, for making my sweet Shigire smile..."
Tears welled up in her eyes.
Kaoru: "Once, Kenshin and I were talking about my late father, I told him that he was not so kind either, he too, smiled at me while I watched him die...do you know what Kenshin told me?"
Toki: "Hmm?"
Kaoru: "He said 'he is happy.' And I beleive Shigire is happy as well, he is watching over you, Toki."
Toki (sniffling.): "Kaoru-Chan."
Kenshin got up and brushed of his hakama as Sano stood in front of him, arms crossed.
Sano: "You gettin' outta shape, old man?"
Kenshin: "Do not worry Sano, it's nothing.."
Sano: "You're startin' to worry me, Kenshin. Lately when we sparr, you breathe a lot harder. You look tired, Kenshin."
Kenshin: "I am, I really am, Sanosuke."
Sano: "I didn't know that turning thirty makes a man so tired, your birthday's in June, right?"
Kenshin (frowning.): "Who told you that?"
Sano: "Seijuro Hiko told it to Misao who told it to Kaoru who told it to me, I also heard about the time that you ate those mushrooms.."
Kenshin: "I can't have any secrets...can I?"

Yahiko noticed a youngman at the base of the Shinto Temple near the dojo. Okuma Diagoro was a thin young man, about seventeen, he wore glasses, and a bowler's cap, a tan gi and light blue hakama. Diagoro was training in front of the temple.
Diagoro: "Must...train....harder....next time, I will be able to help Kenshin!!"
Yahiko leaped from the bushes, attempting to whack Diagoro on the head. Diagoro blocked with his shinai.
Yahiko: "Whoa! You've really gotten better, Diagoro!"
Diagoro: "When I saw Kenshin come back from the mountain that way.....I want to help him, so he doesn't get injured!!"
Yahiko: "I never thought that you would be cut out for swordsmanship, but when I was lying on the ground, cut and burned form Henya's bombs..I saw you fight."
************FLASHBACK*************
The Oniwabanshu fell, bloody to the ground. Iwanbou grinned as the Shiriken popped out of his flesh, he leaped and cut them with iron fingernail tips.
Diagoro was hiding around the corner, gripping his shinai.
Diagoro: "I am scared...what can I do? I don't belong here! Why? Why did I come to Kyoto? I'm going to die here!! I'm a scientist, not a swordsman!! Should I run?"
Iwanbou grinned, his huge finger pointed at Kaoru as she faced Kamatari. Iwanbou ran toward Kaoru, hand outstretched.
Diagoro: "He's...he's going to kill them all! Kaoru..."
He clenched his teeth.
"Even if you're not a swordsman, Diagoro-Dono, that does not mean you can't help those you love, I live by that law everyday..."
Diagoro: "Yes, Kenshin would fight..."
"Dammit Diagoro!!! Stop apologizing!!! You can't prevent fate!!! All you can do is live your life! You have to decide for yourself what to do with what'cha got!!! Don't feel sorry for yourself!!! Make it right!!"
Daigoro: "So would Sano..."
Yahiko struggled to get up, but fell and spat blood. Kaoru was running from Kamatari, Misao was hurt on the rooftop, Okina cried with worry as he sat helpless on the top floor, Iwanbou was grinning at them all, he would attack them, he was going to kill them...
Diagoro: "Yahiko, Kaoru, Misao...Okina! These are my friends....this isn't right!!! I must protect the ones I love!!! I have to...I have to make it right!!!"
Diagoro leaped off a crate, using his shinai as a handle, he slid down a wire used to hang lanterns, he kicked Iwanbou in the face.
Diagoro: "You will not continue, ogre!!"
Iwanbou growled.
Diagoro: "I will stop you!"
They stared at eachother, Iwanbou shrieked as he balanced his body on his pinky and smashed his other fist into Diagoro's face, raking his nail covers across Diagoro's forehead and cheek, Diagoro flipped in the air and fell to the dirt. Iwanbou grabbed Diagoro's neck with his right hand, Diagoro could hear his vertebrae begin to strain as Iwanbou squeezed him. Iwanbou strattled Diagoro and raised his other fist.
Diagoro: "He...he's going to kill me...I...I'm going to lose....Kaoru, Yahiko,Misao...you guys, I'm sorry."
Diagoro's eyes began to close as he could feel Iwanbou crushing his neck.
Kenshin:"Even if you can't fight...you must protect them!"
Sano:"Dammit! You can't change fate, you can only choose!!"
Kaoru:"That's it Diagoro!! You see? With spirit you can accomplish anything!"
Yahiko:"Don't cry! Be strong!! Someday, we'll be strong like Kenshin!"
Kenshin: "Even when I'm fighting Shishio, Diagoro, I'll still be watching you! Just believe in yourself! I intrust the city to you!!! I believe in you!"
Kaoru: "I know you can do it! You can learn!! I believe in you, Diagoro!!"
Sano: "It's all up to you!! To protect Jo-Chan and the brats!! I believe in ya buddy!!"
Yahio: "We can take 'em Diagoro! I know you got my back!!!"
All: "We believe in you!!"
Diagoro: "I can't I can't die!! My friends!! They believe in me!!! Kenshin.....do you believe in me still?"
"You can win this battle! Diagoro! Use your head!!! Fight with your strongest weapon!!"
Diagoro: "Kenshin?"
Diagoro's eyes widened, he roared as he launched his shinai into a nearby barrel of oil, when the shinai slammed into the open hole, it cracked the rest of the barrel, oil sprayed on Iwanbou.
Diagoro: "I will defeat you!! You will not harm my friends!!"
Diagoro found a mtach that Siatou dropped, he lit it on the button of his shirt and threw it on Iwanbou, Iwanbou shrieked, his head spun all the way around, he glared at
Diagoro and bounced away.
Diagoro crawled from the small fire, grabbing his neck.
Diagoro: "Was that really Kesnhin just now? No, it must've been illusions..cuased from the chemicals of my brain as I started to die...still, I feel as though he was watching over all of us!!"
Diagoro passed out.

Yahiko: "How can you say that? It was pure genius!!"
Diagoro: "When I fought back...I...I felt like someone else!"
Yahiko: "Ken-ki. That was your Ken-Ki emerging last summer!"
Diagoro: "Really? You sure?"
Yahiko: "Well, let's see!"
Yahiko charged, yelling as he did so.
Kaoru walked patiently to the porch where Kenshin sat, his head lowered, eyes closed.
Kaoru: "Kenshin? I brought you some water...it's fresh from the well so drink up!"
Kenshin: "Thank you Kaoru-Dono..."
Kaoru: "Are you feeling any better?"
Kenshin: "A little, my wounds are healed now...but I'm still so tired."
Kaoru (touching his left cheek.): "Your scar...it's not as red these days.."
Kenshin: "That's good to hear, De Gozarimasu..."
Kaoru: "Cheer up, someday....someday very soon, we can rest together!"
Diagoro: "Uh....that wasn't right, that wasn't it at all!"
"It's not? Then why don't you take your time....and show me how it's executed?"
Yahiko (falling back in shock.): "Diagoro!! Look out!!!"
Diagoro (turning around slowly.): "Hajime...Siatoh!!"
Siatoh: "Where's The Battousai?"
(C.M.) I know, I know, Toki was from that horrid Kenshin movie which had 30 mins. of re-animation. But, I figured this would give the movie SOME relavence, besides, she was a cool character that needed more depth. Oh, and Diagoro was cool too, he should've been introduced at the beginning. I mean, why do ALL the main characters need to be warriors? Anywho, I need to go finish eating my spaghetti, sooooo, I hope you like it and check out the next episode "Shadow Of Hate" it'll be sweet!!

Daigoro(getting in front of Siath and taking stance.): "You will not harm Kenshin!!"
Saitoh: "What's this? Are you stupid, boy?"
Daigoro: "Shut up!"
Yahiko: "Daigoro! Get oughtta the way!!! We can't protect Kenshin alone!!!"
Daigoro: "NO! I must help Kenshin!!"
Saitoh: "Very well!"
Saitoh lunges in his Getotsu, but as he does, Daigoro roars, the bamboo explodes, the rock path cracks.
Saitoh: "What's this?"
Daigoro hits Saitoh in the ribs as Yahiko hits him in the back.
Daigoro's right shoulder splits open, the fabric of his gi rips and he grabs his shouler, gritting his teeth.
Sano: "What the hell's going on?!!"
Saitoh: "I simply taught this poor boy the pain of a real blade, I am sure that it refreshed his memory since his last sword wound two years ago."
Sano: "You bastard!! What have you done?"
Saitoh: "I do have to say however,that these boys indeed learn well. That Ken-Ki you did Mr. Okuma, it was impressive."
Daigoro: "Next..I'LL CUT YOU DOWN!!"
Saitoh: "Threatening a policeman? I'll have your head!with my next strike!" (raises Getotsu again)
San charges, roaring.
Saitoh: "Aho!"
Saitoh hits Sano with his hilt.
Sano (falls): "Uh....Kenshin.."
Saitoh "Yes, it's time!"
Saitoh leaps down into dojo yard.
Kaoru: "Saitoh, what are you doing here?"
Saitoh: "Where is the Battousai?"
Kaoru: "Kenshin's resting wha..."
She sees Saitoh's unsheathed sword.
Yahiko and Daigoro make it to the bottom of the hill, Yahiko launches his shinai to Kaoru.
Yahiko: "Here!!"
Kaoru grabs it and puts it in front of her.
Saitoh: "I am going to anger the Battousai one final time, I'll begin by killing you!"
Kaoru: "You're not going to reach Kenshin!"
Saitoh charges, his sword is parried, the clashing of steel rings through the air.
Kenshin: "Leave my family be!!!!"

Saitoh: "Your family?"
Their swords growl as they push off eachother.
Kenshin: "They are my blessing for fulfilling my moral obligation, I will not allow you to harm them!"
Saitoh: "A Hitokiri has no family, Battousai, blood and rotting flesh on a REAL sword, that is all you can have!"
Kenshin: "Wanderer or Hitokiri, I am Kenshin Himura! You will fight all sides of me now!!"
Kaoru (eyes filling with tears, putting hand to mouth.): "You've finally found peace Kenshin!"
Saitoh: "So, you will fight? And pay for your sins? Will you shed blood for Okita and the rest of the Shinsengumi that you slaughtered like cattle?"
Kenshin: "So, it all comes together now. You became a policeman to find me and justify my murder,you fought Shishio to gain a better understanding of my moves. And you also found and fought my brother Enishi to learn how to pierce my heart?"
Saitoh: "I only care about one thing Battousai! The vow of Aku Zoku San!! Will you answer my vow?"
Kenshin: "I will find an accord to your redundance with this."
Kenshin croutched into his battoujitsu stance.
Saitoh: "You will use battoujitsu, when I block you will fallow with ryu kan sen then when I parry that you will attempt to strike with ryu..."
Kenshin roared as he drew his blade, clashed Saitoh's sword, spun around and went for Saitoh's back. Yet, Kenshin changed his Kata, he struck downward then as Saitoh blocked Kenshin smashed Saitoh's cheek with his tsuba, Kenshin then kicked Saitoh away from him.
Kenshin: "You talk too much, old man!"
Kenshin's eyes narrowed, his hair blew wildly in the wind.
Saitoh(wiping blood of his chin.): "Welcome back, Battousai!"
Battousai: "I've put up with your bull**** for thirteen years, you are not worth killing!"
Saitoh: "The Battousai is the master of murder, you cannot simply choose not to kill!"
Battousai: "I have let go of those days, I can now be Battousai and choose to kill when it is inevitable, you are not worth that title Saitoh! You are a senial old man and I simply do not have time for this!"
Battousai walked away, his eyes returned to normal.
Kenshin: "Besides, I'd much rather help Daigoro with his wounds and get the laundry finished!"
Saitoh went to charge, Kenshin didn't even turn around. Sano blocked Saitoh's blade by trapping it between his hands.
Sano: "Heh, remember in Kyoto? We still gotta finish our fight, you ass! Or do ya wanna continue stabbin' kids?"
Saitoh: "I suppose killing you is in order!"
Saitoh head butted Sano, Sano smiled.
Sano: "You'll hafta best Shishio to harm me with a move like that!"
Sano grabbed Saitoh's hand, flipped off his knees and then went to kick downward, Saitoh cut him across his belly, then slashed downward, cutting Sano's shoulder. Sano spat out blood as he knelt on the ground, usig his hand to hold hs innards inside.
Saitoh: "You can choose how to die amatuer! You can spill your guts, or bleed to death!"

Sano: "It's alright, Kenshin...pushing the limit, overcoming death, this is how an amatuer becomes a master! This is my fight!!"
Sano tore his gi, wrapping it round his stomach and shoulder. He had little of it left, the small patch with the symbol for "bad" was all that remained, he let go of it and it blew away in the wind.
Sano: "Breaking limits and forgetting about blood, these will be my promises to Captain Sigara."
Sano roared as he charged.
Sano: "I won't let my freinds die again!!"
Sano ran past Siatoh.
Siatoh: "You really are a rooster-headed loser! Coward!!"
Sano swung something from out of the dojo, a large object wrapped in cloth, he tore he cloth off. The pieces of fabric floated about like autumn leaves. The zanbatou rose infront of the noon sun. A twelve foot blade on a staff, made entirely of obsidian.
Siatoh: "You've made a new zanbatou? Interesting!"
Sano rored, swinging the blade, but it was too slow. Siatoh dodged each swing. Then when Sano struck downward, Siatoh shattered the zanbatou with his blade.
Siatoh: "Your weapon is lost!!"
Siatoh darted behind Sano and put his blade up to Sano's throat, Sano put his hands up just as the blade drew blood from his throat. Siatoh grinned at Kenshin.
Kenshin: "This cannot continue!!"
Sano smashed Siatoh's hand with his own, he then knocked the sword away.
Kenshin: "Sano, your right hand is still useless, just stop!"
Sano: "I can't Kenshin, this fight is going to end here, now.."
Sano charged once again, acting as if he'd use his left fist, Siatoh watched it. Sano brought up his right fist with a thunderous explosion. It struck Siatoh in the chest ripping a whole through his garments and breaking his ribs, Siatoh yelped as he fell to the ground.
Sano's hand was now nothing more then hamurger meat, his wrappings dripping with blood.
