"Aaaarrrgh!!!" Shade growled and punched the ground. "What in blue blazes was that?" She yelled at the control room.
"Sorry Shade, but the Sgt.'s orders were..."
"Sgt.'s orders my left foot!!" She stomped it for emphasis. "You've doubled the strength of the fire arms on the range!!" She was irrate now, and not even the vocal modulator could hide her anger. There was NO reason for them to do that! None what so ever!! "I've been working my titatnium plated booty off for you punks, and you have the NERVE to do something like this to me!! I want to speak with your superiors!!"

"Alright, what is it Shade?" Sgt. Bloon's voice sounded in her ears, he did not sound pleased.
"Is it because of the new Master Chief?" She snarled. "Is it because he has stronger armour than I do?" Shade's emotions were in turmoil, if she didn't get back up to par, they might scrap her. She wouldn't be able to handle that. She didn't remember much from her life before she was Shade, but what she did remember sugested that the person she was would be apaulled at the thought of being scrapped. She shivered. "You get that shiney hunk of junk in here, and I'll prove to you that he's no better than the titanium plating he's made from!"
Sgt. Bloon sighed. "Very well." He switched off the comm. "If I'd have known that there would be such a rivallry between the two units, I would never have introduced them." He grumbled. "Call up Lt. Williams" He ordered a technician. "And wipe that stupid grin off your face!"
"Yes sir!"
"Lt. Williams." Sgt. Bloon's voice invaded what ever thoughts the man may have been entertaining. "Please report to the Range as soon as you can." He sighed.
"He's on his way Shade." He told her.
"Good, get me more ammo." Shade barked.

Thomas walked down the hall pondering what they could want of him. a mission? most likely not, he had only been here a few days, he was about to find out. he came to the sgts. office and opened the door.

"Ah, good to see you're punctual." Sgt. Bloon smiled at him. "In the future, however, you should respond to any quiries or orders you hear in your helmet as if it were a superior officer issueing them."
Shade looked up and smirked inside her helmet at Lt. Williams. "Let's see what you're made of, tin man."
"Please excuse her." The Sgt. sighed. "She's just a little testy at the moment, we've got techs working on the issue now." He stared pointedly at Shade, who seemed unfazed by his reprimand.
