Samantha watched the boy walk away for a few moments before springing up from her crouched position and following him. She caught up to him easily, and began walking in stride alongside him. Turning her head towards him she said, "Hey, uh...hey, that was really nice of you! My dad warned me about that Slytherin lot...even though...well, never mind. What's your name anyway, mate?"
They had already reached the Great Hall, and Samantha settled herself down to finish eating (throwing a few hard rolls into her robes, just in case Elizabeth and her friend didn't come back in time). A few weak jeers could be heard from the Slytherin table, but it seemed that they lost interest after the 'squib' left.

(Sorry my posts are so few of late. It seems for some reason I can't ger online before nine or so. Don't know what's up.)
Albus glared at nothing. "Thanks for fixing my pants." He muttered. "However, I don't want or need help, not from you, not from anyone. It's true, I am a Squib. Professor Phlon practically forced me to attend. I don't understand why. My family has been Squibs for over a century and..." He gritted his teeth. "I knew this was going to be a problem. You better just forget about me and go with your wizard friends, I'm not your kind." Albus sighed. "This was a big mistake." He muttered and continued to slump on the stairs.

An unnaturally tall girl sat observing the clash of students from the Ravenclaw table. Her silvery, waist-length hair was tied back in a low ponytail. From behind her glasses shone pale, green eyes that were always half-closed. A smile played upon her face, and her chin rested in one hand while the other held the juicy drumstick she was gnawing on.
It all ended with the brown-haired boy rushing out of the hall with three others following. The ****y Slytherin's robes were now aflame. He ran around screaming, "I'm burning! Help me! AAHHHHHH!!"
She chuckled to herself, and set down the chicken bone to take a slice of bavarian-filled chocolate cake, which happened to be her favorite.

Elizabeth, in a rare display of pure pride, straightened up and gave an expression of offence; even her droopy eyes had a hint of steeliness. Her voice changed from whimsically soft to icy cold, "YOUR kind?" She could hardly speak through the insult she felt, "I'll have you know...every generation in my family has a Squib."
"And," she tried to find the best way to say what she felt, "I don't love my brother any less just because he can't use magic. He's a person anyway!"
Being only eleven years old doesn't quite give one the proper skills to express your full feelings in word, although some grown-ups still can't master that skill, so Elizabeth tightly shut her lips and grabbed the sleeve of her robe...
...and ripped it all the way up to the shoulder. She hastily grabbed for Albus's beautiful white wand, the one she had seen him try to use in the Great Hall, and shoved it forcefully into his hands. She held her arm up, showing the large, fraying tear she had just made and quietly muttered, "Fix it. Repairo. You are not a Squib."

Since he was in his own little world again, as Samantha spoke to him, he jumped.
"Gaah! Dont-do-that." He said, clutching his chest in a cramped manner.
Calming down, he proceeded to answer her question.
"You are supposed to tell your own name before you ask for others', y'know. But ah, I'll tell you mine anyway. I'm John, or Johnny, your choice." As he spoke the last few words, they had already reached the Gryffindor table, where, to John's delight, dessert hadn't even started. He sat down on his old chair, grabbing another chicken. He looked at the girl, who was putting rolls in her robes, for whatever reason, and asked;
"So, what's your name then?"

As for literary reference errors, I am ALWAYS trying to make sure that what I say or do coincides with the world created in the books, so I'll let you know if I see anything odd
