Rime gasped. "AD nineteen hundred and ninty-two?" She had to catch herself from falling. "Four hundred years? I've been dead for four hundred years." She shook off her shock. "I was refering to the aparatus the girl is carrying." She said. "Would you please explain to me what has happened here?" She swept her arm to indicate the city and it's current state.

"Hey, that ain't no apparatus, sweetie! That there is a 12 gauge, double barrel shot gun! That baby can blow a broad sword in two, no problems!"
Ash eyed Rime in her current state of shock. "Wow, from the good ol' 1600's, eh? Yeah, quite a bit has been goin' on since you been dead. WWI and WWII, the Vietnam war, Desert Storm, lotsa stuff."
Then Ash took a deep breath. "Okay, now to tell you about the city. Well, to be honest I don't know what happened. I come back from some place I didn't even wanna be in and next thing ya know it I'm pumping some she-***** zombie full of lead in the K-Mart. Then right after that, a whole battalion of them damn zombies start rushin' in! By the way, K-Mart used to be that pile of rubble behind Rachel and my olds mobile. And that olds mobile is an auto mobile. They have something called an engine that keeps it running. Let's just say, it's like a really fast moving carriage, only with no horses. Anyway, K-Mart is just your typical market, only it's in a big building."
Ash took a deep breath. "Okay, I'm really tired of talkin' here! Listen, I'm gonna make this short an' sweet! One day, me and my ex girlfriend who is now dead go up for a vacation. Well, we find this book called Neconicron. It's a book that can pretty conjure up the dead and that's just what it did. Well, the book itselfs possess my left hand, so I lobb it off with my chain saw."
Ash pauses, then throws a fit. "Aw, man! I just gotta explain everything to ya!"
He turns his head to Rachel. "Hey, get me my chain saw, toots!"
She nods and obeys. She pops open the trunck and gives Ash his chain saw. He turns it on and it makes a loud "buzz!"
"This here is a chain saw! It can lob off just about anything kind of head known to man!" He switches it off, and tells Rachel to put it back inside the trunck.
"All right, where was I...? Oh, yeah. So, anyway, I lobb off half of my fore arm, and attach that chain saw to it, and killed some demons, then I get sucked into a portal, end up in medieval England, almost get executed, made this mechanical hand, get laid, accidently revived the dead, killed them off, and come back. I was hoping for a nice quiet nap, but no, these guys just had to appear!"
Then Ash takes a deep breath. "Well, that's what happened to me in a nutshell! Now, I just hope that missing one or two syllables didn't cause this when I said the magic words to send me back here... Anyway, that answer some of yer questions? Or do ya need more?"

Rime's eyebrows shot up. "Hmmmm." 'Sweetie?' She thought. "Shot gun, olds mobile, K-mart, chian saw." She said and indicated each apropriate item. "Is it customary for boys to be so forward to young ladies in this time, or are you a Brothel Master?" She asked and walked up to place a hand on the olds mobile's hood. "Facinating, it's so smooth," She rapped her knuckles on the hood. "And strong to." She turned back to face Ash. "Where can I find a decent sword and some nice sharp stakes, Ash, I have a feeling that I may need them." Rime looked at Rachel. "It is noble of you to protect the young lady, but you may be certain that I am not the only vampire that has awakened, and I'm probably the only one who will not try to kill you on sight. Your 12 gauge, double barrel shot gun may blow a hole in a vampire's chest, but it will not kill it. The only way to kill a vampire is to sever it's head and either stake it or cut it's heart out completely. Not one or the other, you must do both."
Seeing that this boy was determined to dispose of every last 'zombie', as he called all undead, Rime dropped automatically into her mentor mentality, teaching him the things she had tought her apprentice before her family buried her. "Most vampires are much more intelegent than their minions, and most humans as well."
Rime's head snapped up from staring at the hood of the olds. "There is one near by." She sniffed the air and sighed heavily. "Quickly! Where can I find a good sword?" She demanded in a hiss.

OCC-Okay, so 1500's it is!
Ash chuckled. "Hey, you underestimate me!"
He opened the truck of his olds mobile, and pulled out a red chain saw. "This baby has been modified by yours truly, so it can cut off the head of any vampire. Not to mention, cut into it's rib cage and destroy it's heart. Now, to get ready to fight the Count..."
Ash pulled off his mechanical hand, threw it into his trunck, and slid on his chain saw. He jerked his arm and it made a loud "rrrrhhhh!!!!"
"Now, to answer your question about where to find a good sword... Well, to be honest, most sword made today are nothin' but pieces of scrap metal, thrown together just to look pretty. You take a regular sword made today to a fight with a vampire, and the damn thing would either bend or break. But, yer in luck, 'cause I got a friend who just so happens to have connections, and he can get ya a sword made for battle real easy. Oh, and to answer your question, I just so happen to be attracted towards the opposite sex. But, I make it a point not to get too close to most women..."
After he said that, he thought of Linda and how he lost her in the cabin, and thought to himself "That's why..."

"It was you that destroyed all of those zombies?" Rime askes, slightly impressed. "Perhaps I will travel with you and your lady friend for a time." She nodded apreciatively to herself. "I would like to meet this friend of yours that can find me a decent sword as soon as possible please, Sir Ash."

Ash jerked off his arm and his his chainsaw turned off. He gave a ****y grinned. "Yeah, I got them zombies, alright. But still, I would've figured I'd be fightin' more of 'em by now... Makes me wonder if they're is someone else doin' some of the fightin' for me..."
Ash shook off his confusion. "Well, whatever. Anyway, my friend's name is Jack. He's got all sorts of connections to famous underground sword makers that make swords for battle. Connections like Bugei and Jay Fisher. Knows all them guys and gets all sorts deals. He lives in a little place below an alley way. Come on, git in my vehicle, and I'll take ya there. Plus you can see how we get around here in the 20th century."
As Ash began walking towards his olds mobile, he took a look at Rachel, who was just looking at the ground. "You've been quiet this whole time. What's up yer bum?"
She looked at him, startled. "Oh, Ash! It's nothing, just thinking..."
Ash raised an eyebrow. "Thinkin' 'bout what, baby?"
She gave a shaky reply. "Oh, nothing."
Rachel looked at Rime. She couldn't help but be skeptical about Rime. She's a zombie herself, and yet Ash trusts her just like that?! For all she knew, she may be the leader, the person behind everything.
Ash snapped his finger, which caught her attention. "C'mon Rachel, we gotta ride on down to my bud Jack's place! Git in the car!"
She nodded slightly, and hesistantly made her way to the passengers side.

Rime watched Ash and Rachel get into the vehicle and followed suit to sit behind Rachel. She got the distindt impression that the girl did not trust her, and she didn't much blame her either.
"I know that you do not like me much child, and I do not ask you to trust me." She said sliding to the center of the back seat. "I will try not to do anything to make you uncomfortable." Leaning back, she rested her head on the back of the bench.
'I am so hungry.' She thought to herself and licked her lips, sighing. 'Not now. I'll find something to eat later.' She clasped her hands in her lap and tried not to breath to deeply. 'These two do smell rather good...NO!!' She shook her head emphatically and dug her sharp claw-like nails into her palms. 'I can not! I will never!' Her hunger subsided and she sighed deeply.
"Very well, let us find this Jack, preferably before sunrise." She smiled weekly.
OOC: Kind of exciting huh? Riding in a car with something that could easily rip your head off and suck you dry. Not that she will or even try, but the tension is there. Heh heh heh...
