Luke 11:27-28 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.
But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

I have often wondered why it is that people will come to church then (as my dad used to say) Satan would jump all over them. I think maybe this scripture explains it just a little. See, Jesus just told everyone about how devils moved in on someone that just tried to clean up thier own life but they did nothing to fix the inside so there was still this huge void.

Jesus said we would be blessed if we would hear the word of God, and keep it. In the book of John we read: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1 then just a little farther down in verse 14 we find: And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

So now I know, if I want to be blessed all I have to do is accept what Jesus said and follow him emoticon
