Fine post Harold!

I shall post on your thread every three weeks without correct English or grammar, and then proceed to arrogantly and cluelessly waffle on alot of **** until our pretend forum (really web fascists) foam at the mouth and hide for a few weeks, thus avoiding credible debate and factual history...

WTF (dongo, Mongo, Hercule and Labia) twat capacity

Housecarl:

It does seem like they have a habit of spouting a lot of twaddle, without having read much of anything that is relevant.

They prove and re-prove it time and again by spewing their bile to each new member here, Melisende and TimesArrow included, then running away to cook up yet more Normanist faeces whilst trying to copy the "style" of a French poet.

Housecarl:

Just to make myself crystal clear, I don't care what their "biases" are, so much as that they (a) show us the sources from which they derive their conclusions and (b)engage in real discussion. IOW, it is quite possible to disagree, have different perspectives, etc., yet engage in reasonable debate. Instead, I've noticed that they either twist and "reinterpret" what their "opposition" claims, out of all recognizable shape to the original, or else they don't really answer any questions or engage in any real debate. It's hard to get any kind of discussions going when this Forum won't even look at issues other yapping about "Becket was a Norman" or "William II was bisexual". There was a lot more going on, both before and after Hastings/Sandlake, that would be greatly interesting to discuss. And believe me, I've tried to raise a few issues here, to no effect.

Mousteriana,

You should know better - you can't argue with children!

Or is that - you can't have a rational discussion with children.

I think both could be applicable.

I believe herein lies the crux - WTF is a lonely and arrogant young Normanist "historian" (Oxymoron? Or simply 'moron'?) who, working by him/herself, pretends to be in a "forum" so as to try(but fail)to project his/her warped and unresearched views of historical reality onto others with better education, grammar, historical knowledge, research, maturity and communication skills?

Melisende:

Actually, you *can* have rational arguments/discussions with children. I know. I've had them. Or, to put it another way, my charming offspring at her most argumentative, was far more rational than the WRTF. Hint: she graduated from law school last June. . . I guess the trouble is, that if they *were* children, they would probably carry on a much more reasonable discussion, IMO.

Housecarl and Melisende:

My considered opinion is that the WRTF is a "netloon" or a collection of "netloons". You can't have rational arguments with "netloons" either. And believe me, I have "met" all too many such people on various parts of the WWW.

Melisende and Mousteriana, one thing your curious comments do not have is the merit of being original. Our Forum has had to be on the receiving end of such and similar canards or worse, since our formation in 2002, on and off this Chatboard.Intellectually speaking, we have a rhinoceros skin.
