posticon Xmas in Poitiers

We recently visited the place where the Red memorably aimed to spend Xmas on that fateful 2nd August 1100.
He declared his aim, on that day, as part of his plan to extend The Norman Revolution to the Aquitaine and challenge the unjust rule of Philippe 1.Poitiers retains the allure that it had for the Red if not its historical significance pertinent to 1100 and that day at Beaulieu. We would urge all those seeking to savour the flavour of the Red's aim to visit this wonderful location and also partake of what is a most magnificent place in the here and now.
