Blag Flag on Superspeedways?
I started this post thinking that we should institue black flags on superspeedways but now am questioning that suggestion.
I was able to watch and evalute a lot last night in our prerace practice and racing we did do. I would disern that we have some AGRESSIVE drivers. This is not a bad thing but hope that they are reading this and would provide feedback.
Passing on the inside during restarts, forcing 3 wide, hard bumping in corners during the early part of a 120 lap race is going to end up in a yellow flag 90% of the time. I question the motive; however, realize it takes all syles to make a league.
For example, last night mwils executed what I believe to be an absolutely GREAT strategy, staying back and out of troulble. Late in the race 25 laps to go, he makes his move to the lead. The 01 car (Ratty) who was not doubt one if not the fastest cars on the tracks passes 3 cars to the inside on a restart (would of been a blag flag under standard rules) then gets into mwils in the entry of turn 1 causing a major wreck. If I was Nascar or admin he would be black flagged and disqualified from the race; however, I completely respect the 01 ability to drive and desire to WIN. I just do not understand why a racer would not let up or trail back and setup a pass on the back stretch.
In conclusion agressive driving is and will be a part of any Nascar racing league. I love it and welcome it but would prefer it later in the race not lap 5 or 120. This is going to be a FUN league and look forward to racing with all in the upcoming season.

Re: Blag Flag on Superspeedways?
Hey casa, Your black flag theory is correct. There are some aggressive drivers. I would probably classify myself as one at times.
One reason we don't have black flags on is because there is way to many glitches while using it.
I also believe ratty is a aggressive driver. I think we were all a little frustrated after not getting to race. That was rattys first race and i think he will calm down his driving after a while.
Even though we do not have black flags on we trust people to try and enter pits close to pit road speed and not abuse the no black flag ruling.
I would like to see the same with the restarts. YOu can pass on the outside all you want.
If we notice a certian one person causing to many cautions we will issue a violation.

Re: Blag Flag on Superspeedways?
Thanks for you input Casa .... I can tell you will be a major asset to NRL and I'm glad that out of all the other leagues out there...you decided to race with us as one of your leagues (if u in more than 1).
Hopefully we will all settle down as we continue to communicate. I agree...no reason to try to pass everyone in lap 1-10.
Ya...all night you could hear...down low 55...or..up high 55...lol...and I tried to move out of the way as quickly as I could and waited for an opportunity...thanks for the props..
Thanks as well to Busta for a quick and "well said" response

Re: Blag Flag on Superspeedways?
Hindsight 20/20, I should of not pointed out the 01 car, as in all honesty would rather race with him and be in the same league with him than many others I have raced with in the EA game. Ratty (01), I apologize for pointing you out and look forwar to racing with you more in this league, i have a ton of respect for your skills.
16 and 55, thanks for the feedback and agree there are still too many uknowns surrounding the black flag to jeapordize a good race. 55 you are my "kwan" and do not be suprised to see my hanging back with you on the next superspeedway races.

Re: Blag Flag on Superspeedways?
Well, I have to admit, I am an AGGRESSIVE driver. If theres no black flags and its for the lead, I will force FOUR wide if I have too.
BUT I can control myself, I've ran 3 (well, 2 and a half cause the guy who was second lowest dropped back) laps straight of four wide a Talladega on the very outside, and was fine until the guy on the bottom slipped up.
Yes, I'm aggressive but I'm also clean. So if the league can stay clean, aggression won't be a problem.

Re: Blag Flag on Superspeedways?
thanks for that casamesa, but i didnt mind...it happened and it was a big mistake, but i try to and i do race very clean...i was able to bump the hell out of that 15 in the corners that whole second part of the race and i just hit u a bit too hard...and when your car is that much faster than others its terribly difficult not to go around them b4 the line...i am aggressive, ill admit that because through my experiance if your not in the front, its a lot more likely youll get caught up in something bad. i look forward to racing with you all and this is a great league with some great racers!
