Re: TEXAS TRUCK RACE RESULTS
Great race everyone. Want to put my two cents on something that doesn't seem right. iJeremy and Pink both got 5 bonus points for laps led even though they started on Track A.
Agreed its admin decision and I will not protest, but this is a long season and every point counts, since they started Track A they should of not received the bonus points unless they led a lap on Track A. Think about it.
I finished 5th on Track A with a total of 155 points and PInk somehow ended with 151 points based on Track B??? Just a little confused on that scoring. Once again no big deal and enjoyed the race, but a little shaddy in my opinion.

Re: TEXAS TRUCK RACE RESULTS
Hey Casa...no problem at all with your concern...here's my rationale (sp)...
We already know that any racer that leads a lap on Track B get's the bonus points. All 3 racers that lost connection on Track A were able to rejoin the TOTAL Race...within their 10 lap grace period...therefore..they were all on the lead lap on Track B and eligible for points if they led a lap on track B. Again..remember that both tracks are available when there is a DC...
As well...whose to say that if Pink had not lost connection on Track A...that he would not have led 1 lap. We can't say either way...and since all racers made it to Track B within grace period..normal point allocation applied to Track B.
Hope that clears it up a bit...keep in mind everyone that it's primarily about fun. I want all Nuffers to have every chance to race and gain points. I would have done the same for any racer that suffers an unfortunate incident..such as DCs..if there is an avenue...in this case...Track B became the saving grace for the 3 racers that lost it on Track A...and for all the late racers that fought hard to get here on time and just missed...me..Ratty, Polinino, Big Carolina and Ultimate Rob...we were all able to race tonight !! YEA !

Re: TEXAS TRUCK RACE RESULTS
Once again, I respectfully disagree , I can promise you that no one else would of led laps on Track A. I"m all about "primarily about fun"; however, you have some racers that are taking time away from their family and friends to work on setups during the week, etc and be competitive. The race started on time and was official. Allowing racers assigned to Track A to restart on Track B is "fun", but I contest is wrong!
If I would of known, I would of disconnected from Track A, joined your race to get extra points. Does that make sense? I'm very strategic and enjoy that part of the league. I'm not the fastest, nor the best racer; however, I have "fun" trying to the best within the published rules.
This is my last post on this subject, and I respectfully believe a bad precedent has been set as a result of late start, and allowing Track A racers to score and participate in Track B.
Sincerely,
Casamesa

Re: TEXAS TRUCK RACE RESULTS
And Casa, not just because it was me, but you guys ran a 75% race, and i ran a 140% (disconnected 30 to go?) race. I ran twice as many laps as you guys, so i mean the way i see it , the extra 5 points really isn't that big of a deal. now, if i had blown an engine or something then came to track B, that'd be different.
see what im trying to say here?

Re: TEXAS TRUCK RACE RESULTS
I hear ya Casa...but you gotta remember and recognize that both Tracks are racing the same race and are available....If there is an opportunity for any racer to re-enter the race...regardless of what track...they will be able to re-enter race. Track A racers are NOT confined to Track A and/or visa versa. As well...there were 6 lead chancges..so I understand your confidence that no one else WOULD"VE led a lap...but that again is specualtion. We really and truly can't say that for sure. Losing the extra cars..KC, Pink and especially jeremy on Track A reduced the possiblilties or cautions with their DCs...
Though I did request a 15 minute delay on the entire race ...not for me (I actually thought I would make it back in town OK)...but for Ratty who was trying to get in from work...since that request was not honored..and I'm OK with that...I saw no problem whatsoever with the track B start at 10:30 PM...turns out there were quite a few racers that were trying to race last night.
Of course I don't wanna take anything away from Nuffers that got there on time !! Many of those racers that made it on time...Like Vexing..benefit by making Track A though several racers...including me..would have been on Track A if I were able to get here. So there is a benefit of making the race on time and a detriment for being late. I spent hours on a setup myself and was really frustrated trying to get back in town in time...so I settled in for a missed night of racing.
