Hey mwils, I'm sorry I haven't scheduled my qualifying for California, but I'm having some issues with my router, and it's still not right. I have a Netgear router WGR614v6 which is compatible with xbox, but how to change from STRICT to OPEN is unclear.
Any suggestions?

Hey Kevin...You might have to get in touch with your router host...I use netgear as well but dunno how to change from strict to open... in the meantime...try this
This was taken right off the EA Sports Nascar website. If you do the following your ensured success.
It is recommended that you do not play behind a firewall in order to avoid any connection issues. If you wish to play behind a firewall or router you must configure it to allow the following ports:
* UDP 3658 - 3659(peer- to-peer connection).
* UDP 6000 - 6001 (voice over IP).
* UDP 9555 (EA Sports Ticker).
* TCP 31400-31499 (lobby connection).
* TCP 13505 (EA Messenger).
* TCP 443 (DNAS authentication).

Thanks dms, I did see this information in the post for everyone to test their system, however, within the router setup, there are no drop downs to select a specific service, and very little other helpful information. I'm assuming that port forwarding is the correct function to enter the ports to open. I will also look into the plugnplay setting to see if that will automatically open the necessary ports.
