I think its a nice trade for both teams. The Lakers are now in a "win-now" type mode and I think Gasol will help them, although I don't think he's THAT great, he's solid.
As for Memphis, they got really good contracts in return so that they could be factors in FA within a couple years and future 1st round draft picks for this year and 2010 don't hurt.
