Joe Nathan was significantly better in his bullpen debut than Correia.
Kevin has good stuff, Joe had/has special stuff.

Correia doesn't have a dominant offspeed pitch like Nathan does.

Wrong. And Wrong.
Nathan had above average stuff when he came into the league, nothing like he has now.
And when Correia's change-up is on, it is dominant. I don't think he'll be like Joe Nathan, but he can be a good set up man for a while.

We're not talking about when he came into the league, we're talking about his return as a reliever in 2003. At that time, he had 95 MPH heat and devastating curve.

I would still like to see correia get another shot at starting.
If corriea has finally gotten control of his stuff. He would be pretty good starter. Nathan was sent to the pen because after his injuries he didn't have the stamina anymore to be a starter. Corriea isn't suffering formt he same problem.

The averages are much higher, but, in the context of a 45 AB sample, it's really only about 2 extra hits allowed.
I wouldn't really want to throw him into the fire quite yet either, but it's not like the Giants have much choice. It's either trust Correia in late and close situations, or trust guys with even less inspiring track records.
