For whatever reason, experienced relief pitchers are robbing banks and getting away with lots of lettuce....wonder what drove up the price?

It was expected that he would get a 3 yr deal. So...likely getting it down to a 2 yr pact raised the per year $ amount.

it started with that clown who left the Braves for the NYY, then Eyre left us for CHC for big bucks.

Middle relievers were the last ones to cash in on the f'd up economics of baseball. But every one has their day, right?

Kyle Farnsworth after a great 2005. He's been a flop with the Yankees.

Why is everyone continually shocked about contract amounts?

I mean, it's good to be shocked after one, two or three. But when you see 2 years of 15+ ridiculous contracts, one after another, it's a little hard to keep getting suprised. Unless of course you're the kind of person that gets suprised by the Sun every morning.

This is the market. This is what it will bare. It is what it is. Rowand signing looks pretty facking good now, don't it clones?

The reason why I am surprised is that Mahay has had moderate success in his career to be paid like a closer cerca three years ago. That is the only reason why I stated that.
