He is a great guy, and i love him very much . Baseball is also a great way for us to share something together.
One of the high points of my life is when I bought WS tickets for us to go together...
Perfect except Livan was pitching...
you should have gone to game 4!! My boy Woody shut down the Angels(minus Glaus lucky hr).
My mother is from pasadena and that side of the family loves the dodgers so I decided to liek the Giants out of spite. Same thing with my dad, he is from Michigan so I decided to like the eIndians and much to his dismay...THE Ohio State University Buckeyes. That one stings him still, hahahaha plus i rub it in every year when OSU beats michigan. I am obviously not the wonderful son that you are.

Re: How did you become a Giants Fan (and Who played a role)?
Well my story goes back to when I was in elementary school. I sort of remember watching a game on TV because my cousin was a softball player. I think she liked baseball and since girls couldn't play baseball, she had softball.
I knew there was a World Series in 89 at candlestick and I knew it was with the A’s. I think I watched the news back then (about 8) and heard the giants lost. I also knew because I saw this button:
My first game was at Candlestick and that would be my last for a long time. The game was vs the Mets and if you could believe it in that line up was Fonzie for the Mets and Kent (if I’m not mistaken). This was in 1995. I still have the ticket stub too.
Then after I graduated from elementary, I went off to middle school. Something then made me want to follow the game. So I snuck a walkman with me and listened to the game during class like any kid would do. This guy did it too, but of course, guys can't get away with it with short hair. So I remember the Speedy Oil change commercials a lot.
After that, there wasn't much baseball in my life until high school. I did attend one of the high school baseball games, but I didn't stay long.
Finally, about three years ago I went overseas and a guy was a sport nut. He would go to see how the baseball, basketball, and even hockey team was doing. It sparked a little bit of interest in me, but not much. It wasn't until my final year of college (2004) that I decided I needed a new hobby. I picked baseball back up and started to learn about the game again.
I listened to the opening day in the car when I was driving home from school. I remember I heard them say Bonds has just hit his 660th homerun. I was going this I can get used to. I would have something to keep me company on the drive home.
I met someone and they took me to a few games. That's when I fell in love with the game. The park was new to me and I just thought I could do this a lot. I also talked with jason4cyyoung in the fall of 2004. I joined the board in July if I’m not mistaken.
Last year was the year I took the game more seriously. Met a lot more baseball FANatics and just started to become obsessed with the game. I became superstitious and just learned as much as I could. I’m still new and every game I go to I seem to learn something new. I’m not afraid to ask questions and I really want to learn more, but I’m not sure if I want to learn the stats of the players.
I’m glad I’m a Giants fan. I was born in San Francisco and I will be true to the city. I am not a bandwagon fan, and if someone thinks I am they are sadly mistaken. I have learned to deal with the tough losses and learned that some players really need to be traded or released.
Thank you to those that have helped me come this far in my journey. I will remember you all. Here's to a memorable 2006.
