No, I'm originally from NYC. I was transfered down to South Florida almost two years ago and I can hardly wait to go back. Worst humidity I've ever seen in my life.

Since I moved up here. I know some of you may be bitter about this but i grew up in southern California and am a big Angels fan. In 2004 my parents and i moved up to the north bay and we dont get all the mlb package channels because only half the games would be on and my dad doesnt like paying for other games we wouldnt watch. Anyway so since the Giants were on tv everyday i started watching every game and got hooked. Dont worry im not a bandwagon person, i swear!

I love reading these stories. I feel like there's a good book somewhere in all this.
My story is pretty simple. In 1986 I got a paper route with my brother, delivering the now dead Palo Alto Tribune. It was an afternoon paper and every day my bro and I would come home from school and wrap and deliver to customers in our neighborhood. In the process of wrapping each day, I would read the sports section and learned to understand a box score. Coincidently the year was 1986, Will Clark's rookie season. Like many other Bay Area kids at that time, he became my baseball idol. He almost didn't seem real. And, in the way youthful memories tend to be, it seemed like every one of his at bats ended with a clutch hit to win a game.
I started listening to games on the transistor radio under my pillow, living and dying with each game. As the summer wore on my dad finally gave in to me and my bro's pleadings to go to a Giants game and we saw a mid-August tilt against the Dodgers at the Stick.
I remember taking the elevator to the upper deck and coming through the little tunnel connecting the concourse to our section along the left field line. And the sensation I had when I first caught a glimpse of the field was the closest thing to a "love at first sight" moment I've ever had. The green of the grass was impossibly pristine. I was in heaven.
The Giants lost that day. They fell behind 6-1 but rallied for four in the ninth and left the bases loaded to end the game. There was a family of Dodger fans in front of us who were friendly but ribbed me about the loss as we all filed out. I knew I was a Giants fan for life because I remember thinking to myself that it didn't seem possible to be a Dodgers fan. I couldn't think of anything more wrong. And to this day I still don't know how it's possible to be a Dodgers fan.
I haven't lived in the Bay Area for many years now and I don't have any connection to the area any more. Except for the Giants. They'll be with me till the day I die.

Well lets see I have been an active giants fan ever since I went to my first game back when I was 8. I will never forget this because it was also my first time in San francisco. We went to one of the pier 39 parking garages and went to go check out the pier when we got back we realized that our car had been broken into the ****ers took my dads wallet and our ****ing tickets but the dumb ****s did not look in my moms fanny that was sitting on the floor. Thank god we would have been stuck in the bay. So we still had enough money to go to the game and have a enough gas to get home. The game was good I believe that Clark had the game winning hit if I can remember correctly against the cardinals.
This is the only memory of the giants I have before the 93 season maybe this is because I played little league but sucked bad so I was always riding the bench so I like to forget these three years. I remember once I got to pitch hit and I hit a ball over the fence for a grand slam but the ump said that I threw my bat so he called me out I was crushed I cried the whole way home after the game. In 94 my younger brother found out what happens when you dis my giants after a loss. I went after him and his friends with a knife chasing them down the street with a murderous rage but they were usually hollering these insults as they were running so I never caught them. I used to sit and rock back in forth and say bondsa bondsa oh bondsa bondsa when he was hitting and this seam to give him more mojo because almost every time I was rocking and saying bondsa he hit a home run so I just kept doing it until I was about 18 or so when I stopped because people were starting to think I was retarded.
