GAMEBALL
OMAR
Don't look know kids, look like the old man isn’t quite ready to be put to pasture quite yet…….
Sure we know he was still slick in the field after all these years…..but that bat of his is looking like its 2006……..as Omar kept spraying hits and scoring runs as the Giants built their lead…….
Either the time on the shelf help rest his old bones, or having the kids challenge his job has given the great one new life…….whatever it is….Omar is a welcome addition
TIP OF THE CAP VET OF'S
Rowand and Winn chipped in 5 hits and continue to produce in lieu of true middle of the order hitters…..
BOWKER
A sac fly, and big two run double and solid D at 1st…….the kid looks more and more like a vet everyday……..
JERK
WALKER
Uh Oh……the most surprising and valuable part of the 2008 Giants team is starting to come apart………
What looked to be a solid 7-8-9 combo in Valdez, Walker, and Wilson……looks to be reduced to just Wilson……with Valdez on the DL and Walker suffering his second rough outing in a week………
And it was an ugly outing all the way around……..
A fastball that seemed to gravitate to the middle of the plate at the belt….a breaking ball that seemed to hang in the zone…..and no split finger to be found……
Honestly looking back at that inning, I'm surprised your fat ass wasn’t taken deep 4 times……
SMACK OF THE STICK CHULK
Tough one to get tagged with the loss……..but you give up the game winner late in the game……you get at least the smack
