THE GROUND RULES
We are not your mommies
We are here to have a good time, exchange ideas, and basically kill time
Read the below, and REPLY to this post to signify you have read the rules.
We don't want to spend all day banning people.... so listen up
Easy to remember
3 Warnings..... 2 Time outs...... then Banned
GROUND RULES
Rule 1 - No Bashing of other Giants boards and other Giants board members
We hope to coexist with other boards, not replace.
If you need to vent, go to Email or IM
(of course feel free to bash the Official Giants Board and Mods...)
Rule 2 - Admins (and Mods) are to Remain Neutral
If attacked, they cannot respond in kind. Think Switzerland.
Rule 3 - Known Main Giants MB Trolls are banned upon recognition
Previously Banned users will also be banned upon recognition
Rule 3a - Blu, *****, and Hank are exceptions to Rule 3 cause we know 'em and it would be fun to have them on our turf
(well Blu and ***** are cool... and Hank.. well, he is a good source of info... and we like him..... even if he is a freak)
Rule 4 - No Fighting..
You can give each other ****.. for fun......but no fighting
If there is a question if a fight has occured, both parties have to agree it was not a fight
BOTH parties will receive penalties, unless it is obvious that only one party is engaged
PENALTIES
Penalties are enforced by Admins only, although Mods can advise
There are three levels of penalties for violating the above rules.
Level 1 - "Official Warning"
You will receive an "Official Warning" upon violation of the above rules
The "Official Warning" will appear on the thread of violation and in
list of "Official Warning" in the "FAQ, RULES" forum
After 3 "Official Warnings" penalties move to Level 2
Level 2 - "Timeout/ Suspension"
You will be suspended for 24-48 hours
Exact timing not guaranteed due to..... ummmm.... not being here 24/7
Exact timing will be if one of the admins catches it and lets you back on otherwise you're SOL.
The "Timeout/ Suspension" will appear on the thread of violation and in
list of "Timeout/ Suspension" in the "FAQ, RULES" forum
After 2 "Suspensions" penalties move to Level 3
Level 3 - Banned
You will be banned until after the last out of the world series of the current year. we will keep track and put it on our day planners, but we're only human so
don't expect to be back on ASAP after the last out. We'll try to make it by the time the song "Celebration" ends. If not then you're SOL until we get back and
or remember which ever occurs first
All Penaties are reset after the last out of the World Series see above on when you might be reinstated.
Sorry, known Giants Message Board trolls are not allowed.
BOARD VETO
(after April 15th 2006, let the board get started first)
If at anytime, 66% of the registered board members can vote via poll to overturn a Admin decision
To avoid stuffing ballots, only members with 2 months service and 25 posts can vote.
Vote will not be a poll, but a thread so the voters status can be verified
