Yes, your right...."West Coast Jive".
Im afraid though thats all I know. They only bring me in to teach on an affiliate basis so I dont have access to workshop plans etc.
All I can say is what I read on the other forum. It is apparently along very similar lines to the "Coasters" workshops that they guys have run at weekenders around the place. Unfortunately I dont know any more than that.
I have to say I am slightly concerned. Not as much as I was though as Im an eternal optimist. Im hoping beyond hope and crossing everything that the terminology might be good to get people interested in WCS. By having the word Jive in there may remind people that, if interested, there is a whole other world out there.
As I say though I am sometimes too optimistic!

Hm, by using the word "jive", maybe MJ-ers can relate to it more/are more likely to try it? But why not just keep it pure and simple, call it WCS, and teach the traditional style.

Dunno! Many dancers I know, dance jive in a slotted kind of a way now. Does that count? And they can dance to west coast tracks! Snot west coast though innit.
