Facebook

So many dancers on Facebook now, another reason to waste my time sitting in cyber space discussing dance! Any you guys registered? Check out www.facebook.com and put in a few names of people who are prominent within the dance scene. Not sure what the point of it all is tho' - says 'social networking' or something. I'd rather go out to a party personally.

Re: Facebook

Kinda agree & it's very addictive. Lots of wcs-ers there. More than on here in fact. I have a profile now, it's quite cool.

I was registered on facebook long before it got as popular as it it now. Like myspace, the purpose of it all remains a mystery.

It is addictive, especially the more friends you collate, then you get updates re. what they are doing each day, it's quite a good way to keep in touch. Yes I'd prefer a more direct way of communicating, but this actually makes me more inclined to stay in touch with people.

Hey why not just phone up your friends, or even meet them in the flesh, I've had enough of this pseudo-cyber-friend culture sh*te. It's not even as if most people you talk to on the web/chat forums/myspace/etc really know you. It's an idle way to pass the time (says he on a chat forum) don't get too carried away with it all, there's more out there.
