Where I live..
I found a few in my photobucket, but i know i have more somewhere...
As i said, i live in southwest of England, Devon up on the moors, it's a tiny little villate, and doesn't even have a shop, and i love it....
Here's our village hall my house it up the hill and behind that....
You'll notice the sheep there, that's just one, we have loads roaming, along with dartmoor pony's, it's quiet a site to wake up to in the morning..
If you walk 10 mins behind us and up the hill, (were sort of set in a valley) you come to the moors, (nothingness LOL)
I have 3 daughters, aged 11, 10 and 8, this is there school, it has a total of 19 students  it's 2 villages down from ours and they get a school bus, only about a 10 min drive..
This is another picture of the school from a distance back view..
about a 10 mins drive out of our village you come to more foresty bit of dartmoor...it's got a georgous stream running through it..
and lastly, most importantly the next villages pub! it's our nearest :rolling:

Re: Where I live..
Now I agree the pub is the most important thing... LOL!
Looks like some areas of Norfolk. I am in Norwich which is a fairly large place but there are some tiny villages out there as well.

Re: Where I live..
Aww thanks guys..
I must add living in such a tiny village does have it's downsides, I mean i've never ever met such nosey people!!!!!!! they all seem to know when you sneeze or fart! it's unbeleivable, they must have bugging devices  Most of the people are nice, but some, well some are just interfering......Also, the bus service is awful, once every hour, and only between 8am and 6pm and no service on a sunday, so you really do need a car here......
I've never been to Norwich loveable *****, My inlaws live about a 100 miles from you, there in tiptree, they moved from london when we left....
Hmmm funny how they went the opposite way, think there trying to tell me something...

Re: Where I live..
Oh wow! I love the West Country, when I was younger (and my parents were still together) we used to holiday in Cornwall and frequently went into Devon.
I love the scenery, it must be lovely to be able to take a walk through the forest during the summer months.

Re: Where I live..
Agreed with Queeny - living in a small town everyone knows everyone else and everyone cares about them as well.
The bus services here aren't that great for a city... They do go more than once and hour though! I assume you do have a car to get from one place to another?!
Btw - you can call me Mel.

Re: Where I live..
Absolutely GORGEOUS...I love small towns...my youngest daughter was born just outside a small town (900 people) and they may be nosey and seem to know when you sneeze but if you're in trouble THEY'RE THERE FOR YOU in an instant. a good example is when Maria was born there had been a blizzard and I had to walk close to 5 miles in thigh high snow (carrying Maria) to get to the nearest phone...The Town was without an operator for about 4 hours as he shut down got in a snow cat and came to take me to the hospital 32 miles away and he didn't even know me except in passing at the only grocery store in town.

Re: Where I live..
That is a great story. You would never get that here. There are people you might half recognise from the shops but they might not know your name or anything like that.

Re: Where I live..
I just had the wildest image pop into my head.....
You two ladies, waking up in the morning, walking out with your coffee's, and 'baaing' to the lambs!! Carrying on a whole conversation...
I LOVE IT!
When I was a kid, our neighbors had horses, sheep, goats and geese......and when I was feeling low, I'd sit on the fence and 'chat' with the horses....I swear they understood.....they would stand there for hours, and some times one named Buddy, would lay his big old head on my lap....
