X Files: I want to believe, some spoilers.
Saw the film today, Friday.
It starts off about 7 years after the end of the series and we meet to new agents, Agent Mosley Drummy, played by Alvin "Xzibit" Joiner and ASAC Dakota Whitney played by Amanda Peet. They are looking for a missing Agent with the help of a psychic. Scully is working at a Catholic hospital where Drummy finds her to ask for Mulder's help.
Mulder is in exile hiding from the FBI, which isn't really looking for him that badly. At this point we get into the action of the film, to me it felt like an episode of the series which I liked.
The film itself was a standalone film much like the monster of the week episodes in the past. Some fans may be turned off by the lack of Paranormal in the film. But it was well done and enjoyable. You don't really need to have seen the series to know whats going on.
A moment I liked was Mulder and Scully are waiting in the hallway outside of an office where Whitney is waiting with a group of agents all assigned to look for the missing agent. While waiting they look at a Picture of President Bush when they do so the opening notes to the X Files Theme plays.
